Good to know. I haven't had that issue as I'm able to use the custom livery in both Grid World and Race Day. Are you using the Steam version of the game?

Steam vs non-Steam is likely the culprit. As I don't have a non-Steam version of the game to test against I can't make the mod work for that. Sorry!
Hey,
Sadly I don't have a non-Steam version to test against.
Do you want everything kept the same but with 12-car grids for all modes except Derby?
Thank you for the compliment! Yeah the network selections are left the same as the base game (untouched). If I edit the selections there then you'd only be able to play with other people with the exact same game files as far as I know. I felt like breaking that compatability wasn't wise. I've also never played multiplayer. Would you prefer the multiplayer selections to be edited even if you can't join lobbies with the base game files?
Also, you're welcome to edit the database.bin of this mod to make those network adjustments. If you do, please let me know! Cheers
I've had that bug as well. Had it in the vanilla game on multiple decals though so I think that's an issue with the underlying game. Do you know of any way to check the version of the game files?
Here's my original files (Uninstall Files). Then just overwrite the ones in that directory with the v2.0 or v2.1. Drive.google.com
Unrelated, I found a bug with Gareth Thomas' flag so I'm trying to get that to show up on-track.
Huh, strange. Two possibilities: Save game is interacting with the database.bin in an unexpected manner or your base game files are different. You could try a new Profile/Save and see what happens. That's what I've done twice now without any crashes.
My base game is from Steam. From where did you originally download the base game?
Ah word thanks! Got it converted using Ryder's v2.0 but apparently the schema.bin doesn't hold any useful info beyond, well, the schema haha only shows which values go where in the database.bin/xml.
I'm trying to figure out why I cannot get V8 Supercars to work.
Thanks again!
How about my GRID Mod for the 2023 review? :)

Hey man,
I really like your mod! I've been using it for some time. I edited it a bit and paired it with a bunch of other modifications I made. Bundled in my Mod overhaul: Moddb.com
Hope that's alright! I posted a link to your mod giving you credit and included your link in my README.txt
Keep up the great work.
Cheers mate

I am planning a v2.1 so if you have any comments, please let me know!
For the work in progress version, check here: Drive.google.com

Hey! How did you get the V8 Supercars to work?
Your mod crashes my game even on a vanilla install (Steam). I took inspiration though and added a couple elements of your mod to mine! Hope that's alright:
Love your work mate
Keep it up!
Cheers
2023 UPDATE!!! Get the v2.0 version of my Mod here: Moddb.com
His mod appears to have vanished! Install/replace ONLY the `tyreGrip.csv` in the /cars folder. Cheers
I would install only the `tracks` folder then.
Click the big DOWNLOAD NOW button above this thread/chat area.
You have to overwrite the existing files and folders in the root Grid directory. For me that's %HOMEPATH%\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Grid
Let me know if that helps! Sorry this is 5 years late. I haven't checked my Moddb in quite some time!
I just released an updated v2.0 of this Mod :)
Cheers
How can I open schema.bin? Fellow modder here :)
Love your pack! Cheers
The grid of each career event is specifically cast and the entire career mode is held in the original game's database.bin file. The DLCs are add-on .bin files meaning they can't read or write or otherwise interact with the original database.bin. No trivial matter to add DLC cars to career mode haha. Someone would have to go event-by-event and I unfortunately don't have the time to do that right now.
I can guide you how to do so once I release my update!
Thank you!!
The issue here is there's a limit to the number of `free_race_restrictions` that Grid supports. I've bumped into that limit at adding 4 cars to the 24h Le Mans event.
In my update I'll add the Le Mans track to the Prototype series but there's no extra space to add the Prototype cars to the actual 24h event.
Which car in particular do you want added?
Your replay is probably irreversibly corrupted. Sorry!
Not... really. It's already more realistic than many other games such as the Need For Speed series especially after Underground.
If you want that greater realism I'd say try some of the Forza titles or learn how to mod Grid :)
I'm happy to give you some pointers and explain any questions you have on where to start. Cheers
Which parts of the mod do you want removed?
The /Grid/database/database.bin file is where all the info is located. Specifically the `free_race_track_pool` category. You can open the file with the Ryder Database Editor.
Unfortunately because of the way Grid was coded and designed there's no way to include the 20 drivers for Race Day but exclude the rest of my mod. Cheers
I'll provide clearer instructions in the update. Thanks for the feedback
You want them to persist? They might stay and cloud the driving line though.
