Awesome. Though I can't help but wonder... We gonna get any more Romulan-war era Starfleet Museum ships for the Coalition?

Ah, I see. Pity you can't use any of the UE ships yourself, they're really cool. Thanks.
I didn't know you could get Starfleet Museum ships in this. Where do you find them?
That's a... Tannhauser, right? I've played this mod a couple of times by now, and I've never seen one of these. Did you guys ditch it or something? I hope not, I love these early starfleet museum ships.
When we pulled into Argo Port in need of R&R,
The crew set out investigating every joint and bar.
We had high expectations of their hospitality,
But found too late it wasn't geared for spacers such as we...
And we're banned from Argo, everyone.
Banned from Argo, just for having a little fun.
We spent a jolly shore leave there for just three days or four,
But Argo doesn't want us any more...
If you're interested in balance suggestions, I recommend knocking down the Recusant Destroyer's flak gun compliment by two thirds. At the moment, playing as the Empire, I'm seeing my entire fighter screen just evaporate whenever it gets near a Recusant (or four, because the Rebels never send just one at me). I even lost an ISD once because it went broadside-on with five or six Recusants, which levied enough fire (not even from their main guns, mind) that they got through its shields and health before it could even turn around.
It's bad enough that I've had CTDs because the processor can't keep up with all the fighters being deleted. I'd be very happy if you were to do something about this.
I've played some more of my Empire campaign, and I'd like to retract my previous statement, the one about SSDs being too expensive. They're still *really* expensive, but once you've captured the right planets and built enough infrastructure, it's a reachable goal.
I've been doing quite well, actually, though I'm growing concerned the Rebels' strategic AI has bugged out. They've not really done anything, as far as I can see, since I managed to smash their fleets in a serious of engagements in the mid-rim. Not attacked me, not fought the pirates, not even moved any ships around, as far as I can tell.
I've been playing an Empire GC campaign for a while, finally got to tech five, and now I'm wondering. Are all the SSDs supposed to be so expensive? I mean, I know that they're gargantuan starships and everything, but I'm making nearly 20k credits a turn, more than in practically any other campaign I've played, and I'm still not even halfway towards being able to afford a single Executor.
At the moment I'm looking at blowing practically my entire treasury (170k credits) on a single, third-rate SSD (the Purifier, I think) and then having to start saving all over again. I find myself feeling as though a desire to be realistic about the in-game costs of these things on your part might have led to it being prohibitive to actually buy any. That's not even getting into the two mil price tag on the Death Star.
Aside from that I've mostly enjoyed my campaign, though fighting the Rebels is proving frustrating given that they're spamming so many Recusants my PC crashes to desktop whenever I try and fight them in the battle map.
Staying power as in the ability to fight it out with other late-game ships. I remember how the Vasari ships, though not as tough as the vast majority of mine, were doing more damage via their military focused-ships. I was wondering if the idea was that the New Republic would bring the firepower while the Rebels would function (in the case that both factions were acting together) as support via their buffs, healing, and starfighter superiority. Or have I completely misjudged the whole thing?
I was playing the Rebels in a Eight player free-for-all the other day (against the computer, of course, as I lack friends) and a thought struck me. Are the New Republic and Rebel Alliance factions designed to actually work together/support each other in a game? Only the Rebels, whilst eminently survivable and hard to put down, still lack staying power late in the game. Staying power which a legitimate state such as the New Republic would have. That's my reasoning, anyway.
So, will we be getting the later New Republic ships like the Nebula, Endurance, the Viscount and (fingers crossed) maybe even the Lusankya? Those were always some of my favourites, and I felt like they really gave the impression that, "yeah, at this point we're an actual legitimate galactic government now". End-game stuff, like?
So, the idea for the New Republic faction is that it starts off pretty weak, but gathers strength as you progress through the tech tree (presumably to convey how it's actually becoming a legitimate state to rival the Empire in its own right), yes? What will their early-game ships be? Just regular Rebel Alliance ones?
Any in-story justification for if the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic end up fighting each other?
So, can you actually light the Beacons?
Nice touch with the bronze scale coats and shields.
Are you going to be adding anything new to the dwarves of the blue mountains as well?
Why did you change the units to the more conventional elvish appearance? These older versions look much like lively.
I've always wondered, how does the "Beacon of Hope" mechanic for the Northern Dunedain work? And, for that matter, how does "Emmigration" affect the Elves of Lindon? I never noticed anyone leaving when I played as them.
Fair enough with the reclaimer symbol, and I never doubted that it'd lose any of its tankiness in-game. It's just the way that is translated over to its outside appearance that bothers me.
I mean, there's a big gap in the upper glacis on the new one, and on the underside too it looks like. Kinda makes me feel like the armour's been taken off the new one, and we're seeing all the stuff underneath it, like the skeleton.
I still think I preferred the original one. Those big slopes of armour on the sides made me believe that it was as tanky as its reputation suggests, and the reclaimer symbol up at the front fit in much better on the old one (looks like a recessed missile launcher) whereas the new one makes it look like a decal.
I like it. I've tried implementing the old Black Templars mod into games of UA, it never works out well (I max out a long while before they do), so this idea heartens me.
Will you be corresponding with the team for that mod (assuming any of them are still around) when/if you give this idea a go?
Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.
A shame that you've halted things, it sounded like that idea really would've had potential.
Why do you want to keep your mod hewing so close to the new canon as it is made? There are many (myself included) who would feel that you're making a mistake in doing so.
Aww, I was hoping that the barrels would move back and forth as they switched over.
Where do the fighters and bombers launch from? Underneath those sorta "wings" the carrier has, perhaps?
I feel like a bit of a jerk for saying this, as someone has obviously put a lot of work into this model, but I can't tell the difference between this one and the one being used presently.
Wait, you're going to be doing the New Republic (hype begins)?! So, next-gen Star Destroyers like the Nebula, Lusankya as a titan option alongside the Viscount, stuff like that?
That looks familiar. Wish I'd been able to actually fire the damned thing, but oh well.
How did you guys get the music for this? Did you hire a choir or something?
I wonder what the bumpy bits on the top of the superstructure are for.
