Ultimate Apocalypse Mod (DOW SS)

Mod review

If you like Warhammer, you'll like UA. It's got everything a diehard tabletop fan could ask for built onto an already solid game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl

Mod review

Bugged, unpolished, unfinished, but the most ambitious and high-quality STALKER mod to date. It deserves a 10/10 even with all the broken or rough edges. It's amazing now, and when it's all said and done, this could qualify as a separate game.

Red Faction: Guerrilla - Protracted rebellion

Mod review

Definitely a must-have for the game. Hundreds of hours lately and I still have fun thanks to this mod. There are some balance issues here and there and assorted bugs, but they're being worked on and the stuff that does work in this mod makes it more than deserving of a 9/10. You'll never want to uninstall this.

Autumn Aurora 2

Mod review

I've always preferred SoC over CS and CoP, and this mod is a big reason why.

Pros:
* Amazing atmosphere with great new textures, weather, and effects. Photorealistic in some areas with very minimal performance loss.
* Awesome features like new and improved random events, better AI and A-Life, more varied sidejobs and roaming NPCs, as well as the addition of formerly Cut Content NPCs.
* Excellent gunplay and weapon design, with new and improved weapons that look, feel, and sound great.
* Much more intense gameplay and firefights packing a massive challenge even on Normal or Veteran.
* Better survival elements with better-handled food, sleeping, and environmental hazards.
* Russian VO, though that's standard fare now.
* Overhauled economy making scavenging and hunting much more worthwhile.
* New sounds and music, plenty of which are bonechillingly creepy and immersive.

Cons:
* Grenades feel very buggy and often overpowered, able to hit you and AI enemies/allies through solid cover and inflicting very high damage even at long range sometimes.
* Economy still feels a little too easy.
* AI sometimes notices you with inhuman precision, or sometimes won't see you until you're right next to them.
* Very rare and minor bugs, but there are bugs nonetheless.
