this will sound pretty dumb, but maybe your FOV problem could be a side effect of the mod not being updated anymore?? I mean vanilla hl2 barely gets updates and as you have mentioned, it does not have this issue. Have you tried increasing the FOV with the slider in the settings or the console commands?

there is Beta Aesthetics for that dude. This mod is much better than some reskins and reshades!

yeah, im too a fan of the 2001 beta, its something i can't describe. the citadel, the old city 17... its magical. 2002 and 2003 beta are basically the same except for some aesthetics changes, but they're still good. And for anybody seeing this comment, i want ya to know that a mod for 2001 beta already exist but i am not writing the name of it as it would be kinda of a sponsor to the other mod.
Again, this mod is also fantastic just like Beta and its community.

Have you planned when this mod will be released?
