No, sorry, OpenGL is required for this mod to work correctly. Zdoom is also no longer in development so it wouldn't even be an option.

Press alt fire to fire your subweapon. You can hold only one subweapon much like in the classic castlevania games, to get another subweapon just walk on the item to pick it up, it'll replace the old one.

To get your health back, just find some suspicious walls to destroy with the whip, most of the time destroying a wall will result in finding a Turkey inside. Again, much like classic vanias.

Make sure you've got the correct version for your system (32 bit or 64 bit), if it doesn't work try downloading the "vintage" version (it's in the same download page: Zdoom.org ). If all fails, try downloading Qzdoom and see if the mod loads with that (It's unsupported but it might work).

I'm sorry but Zandronum's code is too outdated for this mod. Reworking it would mean cutting a huge chunk of features that are only possible with the latest Gzdoom updates.

I wouldn't recommend any blood mod as it breaks the coin drops of the enemies and possibly other stuff.

I'm sorry but at the moment, the hud is made with a specific version of the code which doesn't support fullscreen offsets. So the hud gets a bit stretched on your resolution. I'm considering to rewrite it to better support that in the eventuality of a future update.

Yeah, you're a bit under the minimum specs. Do what you have to do, don't worry!
Actually if it's requested enough, i might add make a "low effects" mode that you can enable in the options. We'll see in the future. Hopefully your experience will be smooth from now on!

Sorry for the late response, what are your pc specs? Golden Souls 2 has been tested with an AMD FX 8320 and Nvidia GTX 760

It's in the download, but still:
-All the textures now have bump and specular maps! (Please update Gzdoom to 3.4.1)
-Added rotations to Simon's Sprite
-First Person Subweapon Animations
-Giant Bat's fireball can be destroyed by subweapons or the whip
-Skeleton's bone projectils is now fullbright (So it's easy to see it in dark areas)

Gzdoom doesn't support that kind of sound dll anymore, please switch to another midi device in the options menu

Sorry but i don't know what's going on, i run it fine on the latest Gzdoom. Make sure you are not loading it with other mods that could cause conflicts.

Nintendo has nothing to do with Castlevania or that particlar C&D.
The reason why the Unreal Engine remake got taken down was because the developer decided to monetize it through a Kickstarter, with the hope of "getting a license" from Konami, which wasn't exactly a smart choice.
