A really old drawing of mine, in the form of a carved stone tablet or bas-relief. It represents the timeless conflict of a underground humanoid tribe against its troglodytic counterpart. This particular scene represents an episode in the old conflict just before the moment when an unknown hero of the earth tribe saved his people from the impending Tryglodite invasion which unleashed a tidal wave of lava from the cavernous depths of the earths core,( Here stylisticaly represented in the form of a Serpent/Wyrm) by tossing his hammer-pick into a weak point of the ceiling, collapsing the tunnel with rock debree and sealing the tunnel, thus ending the threat of the lava flood and the Troglodyte invasion to his people, but at the same time dooming his own life.
