Could you add an always on "assimilated ability" with a mesh as an effect. It could be relatively generic mesh and applied to many classes. That might get around the memory issue but I don't know if it would cause other issues.

Cheers, I get it. I do wonder if its possible to edit a save to give them the relevant research from the start but that's way above my expertise lol.
Just watched the final episodes of DS9 so Im keen to recreate it lol.

Lil tip,

Get their fleet to follow you into a large grav well and use your fastest ships to lead them on a wild goose chase in circles while your main fleet decemates their space. Only engage when you have vast numerical superiority and use a decent amount of siege ships. They can be beat.

(It's so good I bought sins just for it and have actually never bothered to play vanilla lol)

I have never seen one then had 3 run ins with em just yesterday lol. Are they capturable? Single use?

Happened to me until I reapplied LAA, somewhere along the lines my exe was updated without me knowing and that broke LAA resulting the the effect you described.

Ha I managed to trick their fleet into engaging me in a class J well. Then withdrew my main fleet and left them chasing a scout squadron in circles while my fleet decimated their space, they only withdrew when I attacked their homeworld last and with their transwarp network down they were too late to do anything about it.

Hi Guys,

I was wondering, is it possible in the sins engine to have neutral capturable shipyards or structures which can call in neutral faction ships? For example if you capture a Ferengi station you could call in Marauders. Could make for a fun aspect of the game trying to secure unique ships.

Did you enable the mod from within the game or using the mod file?
Also does it crash about 10 mins in or straight away?

Yeah, you will have to make a copy of the map file and change the player starting locations, open the file in notepad and search for new player. (dont have it in front of me at the minute so Im likely a bit off). The player is "Player 0". Change the name, save and you're done.

I really like this addon, its much faster and more intense, with little downtime between battles. More like the original Armada. The appropriate costing for ships is great and you can tell the balance has been tested really well. I'm looking forward to the post update update.

I've found that the shockwave ship is invaluable. It wont outright destroy end game borg ships but it will soften them up a lot for a full fleet assault with heavy artillery. Expensive but if you can build and maintain a strong economy and have a decent shipyard you can win.

Thanks a million for all your hard word and passion it really shines through. I like the changes to the supply and the reduction to the call ins for just the reasons you explained. What I was curious about it needing say 90 or so supply for a flotilla that costs 30. Could be a mechanic that would limit the use of call ins late game.
