And for some reason it even tells me I don't have steam installed when I clearly do.

Okay so I've downloaded this and it is visually amazing, plays great and the weapon sounds are fantastic. However there are numerous bugs in the game. For instance; In Uncle Yars mission the zombies attack no matter what, Random crashes when attempting to save, random crashes when attempting to load, random crashes when switching areas, The mission where you interrupt the weapons deal always crashes after talking to Spartacus[NPC is not named Spartacus in my game for some reason], random crashes when emissions start. This will truly be the best mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:CoP if you can fix all these bugs.
