Hey I noticed this too, and while initially surprised, it was a welcome surprise! Hmmmm. perhaps in a future update make the militias even a tad bit stronger :)
Well, if it wasn't for that Advent attack on my Bakery Planet, and the Military Blockade on that planetary system, (You know how those pseudo-religios fanatics frown so deeply on cookie production!), I would already have them enroute via trade ship..........
I've issued a directive to my 3rd Fleet Admiral to immediately assemble a task force to address the issue and cleanse that particular system of their taint.
>:)
Got it workin perfectly on 1.32
I love the addition of Doctrrines, NICE touch!
Ah, I see....... Gonna update my SOASE now as well :D
Ah, I see....... Gonna update my SOASE now as well :D
That's because I just love this Mod, and am grateful for all the work that gets put into it
Thanx, and to all the other Modders out there as well for all the gaming enjoyment you bring to us
Keep up the good work!
Oh wait..........
This is the update to Diplomacy 1.34, I got a bit over-excited thinking it was a new version, LMAO!
Downloading now, can't wait to try out this latest version
As always, THANK YOU so much for keeping this kickass Mod rolling so well!!
AGREED!
These are my two favorite Mods, and I have often thought about how awesome a merger between the two would be. However, from all the reading I've come across on memory cap with the system/engine or whatever, I'm not sure it would be possible. And if it IS possible, who knows if the creators of these two incredible Mods would want to come together on such a project?
Regardless, two FANTASTIC Mods that I enjoy immensely!
THANK YOU FOR THESE MODS!
Ahh, Hells YEAH! It's UP n Runnin, LOVE IT!! Thanx again Aplos!!!
I've been anxiously awaiting this update, but WTF Aplos??? Don't tease us! Please upload the 2.5 version, 'cause it ain't here!
Try not to get to wound up. My guess is that they've been Researching Military to gain levels much higher than yours. I sometimes build my research in a balanced manner, other times I use all my resources to concentrate on either economic developement, or go apeshit in military spending.
My advice-Be pro-active and get out there and whoop some *** soldier!
I use the notepad for my mapmaker files quite frequently, so familiarity gives me confidence to give it a go
Thanx for the response, and the tip Aplos!
Just want to thank you again for clarifying, being so attentive to us Players here, and helping us to understand the way things work in the game
Still playing the hell out of Maelstrom, and Loving it!
Yeah, now I just play without the 'Cators, or VERY limited (as in EASY) 'Cators

Bump, and ZOMG pirates hurt late game
Gotta find and kill 'em quick, or just play w Pirates disabled
Hey scudhawk, I have the same issue going on w Dreads, but as you can see from my previous post, soase-maelstrom responded.
soase-maelstrom, perhaps this is a bug or just something forgotten in the punch-list? I finished a game over the wknd with 24 Dreads (10 SUPER, Bwaaa-hahahaha!!!) and 11 assorted Caps for a total of 35!
So, it looks like the slot limiter isn't working?
Also, I saw in an earlier post sometime back that the Replicator Pathfinder ship (5000 hp) was going to be addressed in this release... They haven't changed in mine, (Maelstrom_Diplomacy_Expansion_1.31_4) and once you get a couple alone in a system (from AI player leaving them alone in a gravity well) and you dont discover them for an hr or so, they just reproduce by hundreds & HUNDREDS! A real gamebreaker as it slows everything down tremendously and putting a most MASSIVE fleet doesnt do any good, as they REPLICATE just as fast as you can destroy them, ARRRGH!!! Guess that's the danger of the 'Cators, eh? LOL!
Still - INCREDIBLE MOD!!!

Just another thought regarding the Dreads-
It seems that they do take up some Capitol Ship slots, but don't use any fleet capacity points. What do you think of the idea that they should use a large amount of those points, say, 200-300, which would make them vastly more valuable and meaningful?
As it is, they just continuosly spawn from the Coordinator in all races, seemingly without limit?

The Dreads take one fleet slot - if you don't have a slot when the Factory tries to spawn you loose the Dread.
scudhawk 47mins 58secs ago says:
1. Dreadnaughts are allowed to continuously spawn with negative capital ship points. I also think their fleet cap usage should be 75-100, not because of their power, but some players not increasing fleet cap and tax% to maintain using them.
Just a thought, and if do-able, maybe you can share with the Modding community-
Is there any way to have INTER-STELLAR wormholes, presumably with a high location on the research tree?
They make alot more realistic sense to me than inter-system wormholes, so I rarely use them in my custom maps
THANX AGAIN FOR STARS!!!
Geez... The Trolls are even here.
Show some respect little keyboard warrior. These people put ONE HELL of a lot of work into these Mods for our enjoyment.
Maybe you should come out of yout mothers basement and participate in real life, the real world occasionaly? You know, get some sunlight on your face, some fresh air, eh? Might help you to get a real life and actually live it, and not be so apparently bitter.
And BTW- We Americans ROCK!
Sorry you're so filled with animosity, it must SUCK to be YOU :)
P.S.
I hope you never figure it out, and never get to enjoy this Epic Mod
Thanx, and two thumbs up!
CRAP!! I gotta go
Somethin on HUGE just popped into my gravity well.............
OMFG! They've got a SUPER Dreadnaught FLEET!!!!!

(However, I DID have the great thrill of dropping into a Pirate base late game with 14 Super Dreads & a well balanced fleet when they had many HUNDREDS of ships, with multiple extra bases for a massive battle.... Ahhh, SWEET VICTORY!!)
I suppose it all comes down to what ones style of play is...
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Anyway, I think my new tagline will be:
"OMFG! They've got a SUPER Dreadnaught!!!"
....And by the way-
Those F'n Pirates are viciously cool!
