You've reached the profile of AK151. How you wandered upon this profile, I do not know, and I sincerely apologize for your misfortune. Should you decide to stay and have a look around, you'll find writing (some decent, but most pretty bad), (mostly) failed experiments, and perhaps some music. You may also happen across some fo-Star Wars stuff, much of which I keep around as a lesson to myself in how to avoid being embarrassingly over-the-top and ridiculous. It exists primarily for the currently ongoing Star Wars role-playing group (yes, there is a somewhat-thriving Star Wars RP here, believe it or not). Anyways, enjoy your stay, have a nice day, and, as always, have fun!

Report RSS Enderal Journal, Entry 8 - Farewell Riverville

I'm replaying Enderal, a total conversion for Skyrim. I found it well-made, with a gripping story, great characters, and excellent music. I got a whole bunch of mods for my next playthrough, and one adds in a journal one can write in to record thoughts, events, etc. I'll be keeping this journal up as I play, and I figured it would be fun to share it here.

Last Seed, 23rd, 4E 8234

Woke up to a brilliant sight: Liliath asleep next to me. I got up and haggled a bit of good food from the innkeep for her. She liked that. I offered to pair up with her for the day, me playing the lute and her singing. She agreed quite happily, and that's what's occupied most of the day. I think the patrons like the change of pace. Got a decent amount of gold, from both the innkeep and from some appreciative folk. It really is a nice setup. Too bad I have to leave it behind.

Jespar showed up later in the morning. Didn't interrupt us, just went to the bar and got some drinks. I talked to him when we broke for lunch. He's done with his business and is ready to head to Ark. Normally we'd fly there using a Myrad: these winged creatures that are apparently used for transportation here. Riverville's is injured, though, so we have to go on foot. Naturally. He said we'd leave at nightfall so we can easier slip past any bandits on the road. I'm perfectly willing to take them head-on, but oh well. Means I can finish up the day here playing the lute.

Read a few more books in the downtime. More of these Myths and Legends. One about the Blind Miner, a foreman who led a mining crew that got trapped by a landslide. He found a way out just as his men started resulting to cannibalism, and it sent him into a rage and he killed all of them before gouging out his own eyes. Apparently it's a true story. Or at least, it's true that there's a Lost One who wanders the lower depths of Ark and is nigh immortal. Apparently it can only be wounded by those who possess a psionic talisman, and the only ones who might have the know-how to make one are the Apothecarius. I'll have to look into that. Also read two more stories: one about an Entropist who summoned up this gigantic horned lizard that ended up killing him. The beast still wanders the Powder Desert. Then there was the Steel Warden, a half-Aeternan arcanist for a nobleman: Dal'Marak, who was responsible for a cataclysm in the Thalgard region of Enderal. The warden saw it coming and tried to assassinate his lord, but was thwarted and cursed to roam his master's now barren land. Fire, frost, and swords do nothing. Sounds like I'll need lightning to kill it, if I ever find it.

It's dark out. Jespar's had one last drink and we're ready to leave. I took a bit of time to say my farewells to Liliath. Told her not to count on me coming back. Probably better that way. She took it well and didn't hold anything against me. I'm glad I didn't have to burn that bridge entirely. Anyways, I've done everything I can do here. Time to head to Ark. My arcane fever's died down since I started settling, but it's still in the back of my mind. Time to get it sorted.

Link to Enderal. It's important to note that the writing above is based almost entirely on the story created by an extraordinarily talented group of modders. Credit is due to them, not to me. I would also be remiss to not credit Arcones for the idea of using a parchment-looking background to add some flavor.
