This game is probably not ever going to come around. I know that these guys have worked their heart and soul into this game, but a development cycle this long is just unrealistic to ever be successful as a game studio, indie or AAA.

I mean, let's face it, plenty of indie game studios have opened up their games to Early Access and Greenlight and gotten pre-orders and Kickstarters and then they take the money and run or deliver a product that is ridiculously below professional quality.

To each his own. Four man team? You could divide the spoils well.

Version 1.81 of Europa Universalis IV? That is WAY back. You should be at version 1.14.3 of EUIV.

Sorry, to my knowledge, the game does NOT work for Mac or Linux. I have Windows and have designed it solely for Windows. I apologize for any misunderstanding.

Yes, he is correct, it is an absolutely different mod.

Perhaps I will rename a lot of province names in the mod, but it would be difficult since I am the only one developing the mod. It would take a considerable amount of time and effort, and that would be just for North Africa, Italy, Greece, and all of the Middle East to India.

I have not really modified the core features of EU4 per say, it's just that the setting is back in times of antiquity. To be honest, the features of EU4 work well for antiquity, there is not much that is astoundingly different between the two. Standing armies, trade, construction, colonization, warfare etc are fairly consistent across human history, but the time periods offer different methods of execution: these are things that people have done in history regardless of the time period.

I hope that helps to answer your question.

It is not required, but it is recommended to have all expansions for Europa Universalis IV to ensure compatibility. The mod should function just fine though =)

I changed the Etruscan ideas to give them a bit more of a chance on the Italian Peninsula.

This is inspired by EU Rome: it takes the setting of EU Rome and puts it into Europa Universalis IV. So imagine EU Rome but... better. =-)

Already have: the current version of the mod has a brand new technology system along with unit progression.

Although military tactics didn't change a whole lot during the time period, I feel the new unit types give something for players to work toward through technology.

Put in the "My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/mods/"

Load up EUIV, and select the mod from the launcher.

If you don't know how EUIV mods work, don't play them. We also have a Steam Workshop version that does this for you already.

Hey everybody,

Well, it's gonna be a long time until another release, but I just might be able to bring this mod back from the dead.

Gotta do all the provinces, cultures, governments, technologies, many ideas, and most countries from scratch again, but this also allows me a few more oppurtunities I previously did not possess.

All of Siberia, India, China, Manchuria, as well as North Africa, West and East Africa, Scandinavia, and of course Europe will be included in the next version. The West Indies, Japan, East and West Africa, and most of Siberia will be uninhabited and some wasteland (some of the West Indies, East and West Africa, and most of Siberia will be colonizable however).

The start date will be 336 BC, the accession of Alexander the Great to the throne of Macedon and before his conquest of the Achaemanid Empire.

More to come!

Oh dude, that is unacceptable. You have GOT to see 28 Days Later. That's what started the whole 'fast-running, brutal clawing and attacking cannibalistic killer' zombies that are so common in culture now. You have got to, it might help you with the mod too.

Interesting idea for a mod. I actually like it. I feel a 'BioShock' vibe: dark, creepy, and downright brutal and scary.

As for multiplayer, perhaps an 'Infected vs Gaurds' mode, or even 'Prisoners vs Gaurds'. Players take turns guarding or being the prisoners in an attack-and-defend style mode(perhaps with mutually hostile infected into the mix).

Now, as for the infected, are they like '28 Days Later' infected or like 'Night of the Living Dead' infected?

"Now let's see, TFO v1.0 Beta took maximum about 30 min to finish."

I hope you were kidding, because if that were true, its a disgrace to all Source modders everywhere. You think what people do on Source is easy? People who put their time, sweat, and blood into creating something on the canvas that is the Source engine should be people who give a **** about making something great.

Its like cooking. Just because 'anyone can cook' doesn't mean 'anyone should.' Same applies to modding. Godspeed, because what has been shown so far for this mod leaves ridiculously much to be desired.
