I don't know what RTW gold version is (is it Steam version)?
In any case I would recommend you to place the 'data' folder (from the archive) to every RTW and ALX folders you can --> hope this will solve the problem :)

Do you use Steam version of RTW?
I don't know how to install the steam version correctly, but i suppose that the folder 'data' of the archive should be place to RTW directory whereas the 'ZombieMod' directory should be placed to alexander folder.

If you want you can take part in beta test to see what Beta version is.

At this moment, after a long break, we are working on the mod again. Can't say anything about the next version release date for sure.

Oh, of course zombies can not use rams, ladders and other stuff. They can only siege settlements. I will mention that in the article "Zombie Mod Survival Guide".

The goal is not to capture all Zombie Settlements but to capture some settlements required for YOUR faction. For example, Spartans need to capture Epirus, Crete e.t.c.

For now there is no reinfection (zombies will not appear for the second time when they capture the same settlement). But may be it will be changed after Beta. The Beta test will show.

I am quite busy now and do not work on the mod this week. On the next week I am going to do some planning on the working process of the mod and only then I will be able to say something about the release date or so.

Zombies will have loose & horde formation by default (look at the early images in the mod profile). The biggest part of zombies will consost of peasants. However, some zombies will be armoured warriors (for harder gameplay). And (of course) zombies will have unlimited morale (as far as the game engine allows).

Can't say for sure. But to estimate somehow the release date -- I think it will take 2-4 months to complete the Beta.

The main idea of the mod is that the reason for the zombie outbreak remains undeclared. We don't want to use this or that idea about why it happened because some people don't like the virus idea, others won't like the idea of plague from the Gods (or Necronomicon ... e.t.c). So lets make some suspense so that the players will conjecture the reason for the plague themselves (like in "The Walking Dead" series).

That means that we are not going to add zombie kings or some similar stuff that will somehow reveal the reason of the plague. But that doesn't mean that we won't add some special zombie models (like zombiED kings [not zombiE] - just dead kings who became zombies e.t.c.)

We are working on the mod quite hard and will not let it die.

Believe me, there is already a lot to show to players. We just don't want to upload unfinished versions so that we will have to create a lot of fixes/patches/upgrades later.

We will try to update this page in terms of news & progress as much as we can.
