That book really opened my eyes to the creatitivy of the HH series and that everything is not black and white. Even the First Heretic was interesting in that regard.

Same, the Emperor become just an overly ambitious, and in the end, foolish, leader to me. Almost reminiscent of Napoleon Bonaparte, albeit one much taller. And nearly immortal. With psychic powers.
