No, they are a branch of the Ecclesiarchy. The giant I's with skulls kinda give away that she's not a SoB though.
They actually fall under the Ecclesiarchy and the Inquisition, so I'm pretty sure both of you are right. You notice how they always have the stylized Inquisition "I" somewhere on them?
You know what i have never seen? a black Sister of Battle, most of the pictured sisters seems to be white with blonde or black hair. Is that because of something from the fluff or something?
Doubt it, it's just that the generic look for SoB is a white woman in her 30s heavily scarred and with dyed white hair.
For the same reason you barely see female IG outside of fanart.

GW rarely uses diversity when creating 40k characters. I haven't seen a single African space marine in GW made 40k pictures, and the only African IG I've seen was in the last IG codex cover-art IIRC.

LOL, why don't these artists understand that a human can not easily hold a 50 pound bolter with one hand, also the mag would be nearly twice as long and wide, not to mention the gun. Still, though that is a very good drawing and i would definitely want to be cleansed by that girl. :)

Artist's name is "xil." Most of his/her art depicts young girls and (androgynous) boys.
