Honestly, I think that Flesh Tearers crossed the line long ago, as well as Blood Drinkers, as well as Flesh Eaters. I guess that they are even more dangerous for the Imperium itself. Hope that Space Wolves will finish them one day, before it's too late.
Well, the Flesh Tearers will propably die anyway, because they're chronically under normal chapter strength.
But I've got to disagree with you. I actually like them a lot and I also kinda hate the Space Wolves since they're basically responsible for the Thousand Sons turning to Chaos.
They hardly control their Rage, too often they commit massacre among loyalists who were helping them or were waiting for their help. Even other chapters despise them (as well as most other BA successor chapters) and don't want to fight with them together.
I didn't say I like SW that much, there is no excuse for destruction of Prospero, but in the 41st millennium they remain more or less humane, and they confront such maniacs as Flesh Tearers and do not tolerate atrocities and abuses of the Inquisition.
True, but the Flesh Tearer's rage is caused by their mutated geneseed, so it's not really their fault. And they're still trying to fight for the Glory of the Imperium even if their chapter is most likely going to die anyway.
So they're pretty much boned but still trying, that's why I like them.
And honestly a little more or less violence doesn't really matter that much in a universe like 40k.
On the Wolves being responsible for the fall of Prospero and the sons turning to chaos:
I think there's only ONE being responsible. And it's neither the Russ or the Emperor. In my eyes it was Magnus' fault...
While both novels (think u know what novles I mean) give an understandable perspective for both sides, the Wolves' and Magnus'. In the end it was Magnus' choice to ignore the desiccions made at Nikea, encouraged by ignorance and arrogance to master the warp, while ignoring the dangers that come along screwing with the warp. I know we can argue about the Emperor being more reasonable with Magnus actually telling him WHY not to mess around with the warp. Still using powers of the warp was forbid by a reason.
He knew the Emperor would send Russ and his Wolves. That happend befor. Yet he kept going. I also know it's a tragedy that Magnus' desire to 'save' the Imperium in the end doomed him. But again, it was HIS decision, he knew the danger, he ignored it. So what makes the Wolves responsible? All they did was acting as the were told... Mangus just took the offer to save his legion rather than to face the consequences of what he did.
Flesh Tearers = Loyalist Khorne Berserkers
Blood for the b.......... EMPEROOOOOR! Skulls for the........Holy Throne!
