Gue'Vesa in Battle suits, it's getting better for a human to serve Tau'va I presume. :)
I think it's just something taken out of context, that's why it doesn't make sense, the poster should have put a link to the whole thing.
Why the hell some guardsmen leave Imperium(where they were meat-shields) to Tau Empire(where they are still meat-shields).
Slightly extended range for those lucky enough to be issued pulse rifles.
They either decided that the Tau Empire was a better option or they were abandoned during wars with the Tau and were just forced to join. Usually the latter.
