We're trying to change the main character so that it would fit better with the environment of the game. We are not sure which one to pick. We could use some help. V1, V2, V3 or V4? Go!!

From my point of view, V2 is the most suitable for environment I've seen on your gameplay videos)
You could use a different environment for each version as well (I know this doesn't fit your concept, but it's just my opinion >__>)

i was thinking of having 3 main characters, one would be an alien in an astronaut suit, similar to the one in the video, second would be a neanderthal, the character that will be saved by the alien and the 3rd one a robot that would be the companion of the alien... and all 3 of them would have their own special abilities... that's why I need more people's opinnion... I just can't decide... and there will be other posts with other versions of the other characters soon...

I'm not an experienced developer, but I can say that finally you're the one to decide, what's more suitable - sometimes despite any other opinions. It happens because tastes differ from player to player, and you can hardly predict whether they'll like you new feature or how your character looks like...
Anyway, it's the developer who can see the whole picture and put the game mechanics, user experience and other stuff in one thing. There is no other man, who can tell you what to do, because it's your game and it's your vision.
Just implement something and try it out yourself!
Btw I like the idea with 3 characters )

yes this will help because the poll is made on many forums and groups... and so far V3 is on 1st place with 84 votes, followed by V2 with 52, v1 with 33 and v4 28
