Contested Space now has beam weapons. Unlike projectile turrets you just have to point at what you want to burn. Though it's not quite that easy to hit frigates as they orbit nearby.
Lighting and physics have also been improved. Battles are now more dynamic and intense.
The Contested Space Kickstarter campaign has been steadily advancing. We're 40% to the funding goal with 11 days left to go.
