Look, I'd hate to **** on the memory parade here but that "war"(occupation/genocide) was more pointless than Miley Cyrus riding naked on a wrecking ball.
I think it's stupid to remember death; remembrance day has been transformed from just remembering those that fought in WW1 and WW2 to remembering every single mass murder that fought for the Allies. That's what a soldier is, a legal version of a murder. WW1 would not have been as devastating if there weren't any troops willing to fight, modern leaders are cowards and will simply command the war from afar or even worse will just have others run their war, so if they didn't have troops for the war they would not have gone to war. Therefore remembrance day in a way celebrates those that cause wars...
