71 years ago today, American Soldiers from all around our great nation charged the beaches of Normandy, under heavy mortar and machine gun fire in the greatest invasion known to date.
Rangers scaled cliffs, G.I.'s charged beachheads, and Paratroopers dropped behind enemy lines at great personal risk to their own lives in a grand effort along with allied forces to liberate Europe and the world from Nazi tyranny.
As far as I'm concerned, they will always be the Greatest Generation.
God Bless them and their families, and God Bless America.
