C&C3 Tiberium Essence
The years of service from Commander McNeil are already history. But while the GDI protagonist from C&C:Tiberian Sun enjoys by now his pension, do the mechs, hovertanks and orcabomber from the second tiberiumwar still hold the line against the Brotherhood of Nod and just recently against the Scrin invaders too - at least if you install the C&C3-Mod Tiberium Essence.
Due to the single and multiplayer modification, not only GDI-generals enjoy the new/old troops. The Hand of Nod releases now among other things the cyborg soldiers of the supercomputer Cabal. Plasmaspitting Banshee-Bomber and the powerful Cobra-Artillery top off the new enemy variety. On the GDI-side the Mammoth MKII caters for superior firepower with its two railgun-cannons and missilethrower.

Rethink, Commander!
The additional units are not only good looking, they also change the gamebalance and require new strategies. A group of upgraded Titan-mechs, Mammoth-tanks and a Mammoth MKII do lay waste on any enemy base in seconds. But against a group of cyborgs do these clumsy armored vehicles have no chance, especially since the new AI uses these new weapons in skirmish as well as in the campaign numerously. Is the Alexandria-mission without the mod done in a few minutes, does the difficulty raises in Tiberium Essence significantly. During our first two tries of that mission, we were overrun by the enemy after a few minutes ingame.
While the new soldiers and vehicles change the way of the gamebehaviour, does the Mod provide an optical variety too. Missiles now drag a nice trail of smoke, and the new bullets of the railgun reminiscent of the graphicseffect from C&C Tiberian Sun. Furthermore supplements Tiberium Essence the game with a Rag-Doll physics and dashes the soldiers which are hit by shockwaves through the air, similar to the current strategy-game Dawn of War 2.

If they liked 1.2 so much, what would they say about 1.5?! 1.5 makes C&C3 the best C&C ever.

When I was in the store, picked up the gamestar (that's the magazine) and saw that they have featured Tiberium Essence I was like " omg :O WOOHOO"
yeah it seems that Germany is promoting mods more then any other country.
Unfortunately, the stupid Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons (Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien) will probably try to block it or censor it because it has blood. >:(
Seriously, Germany should completely disband the BPjM. Censorship is wrong! >:(
