I was wondering about new tiberieum life forms that people think might exist? From what I understand tiberium floaters and V (cant seem to spell today) hole monsters are a bit hard to code. That leaves fiends and viceroids. Now new types of viceroides are possible besides the Scrin spawned ones I would think. However I would like people to come up with new tib life forms and post there ideas here (preferably with a link to an image of the life form). So that we can brainstorm new life forms that carnus could add or not add at his leisure. It would be nice for a new genesis pit map in tib wars (maybe 6 player).

Although I don't see why Tiberium Floaters are not possible in TW, I can see that Veinhole Monsters are hard to code, although I'd love to see those in. Maybe both of them could be coded to act a bid different than in TS.

My personal suggestion is the Tiberium Swarm, nothing more than a flock of mutated birds or more preferably flying bugs. Every living being on the Earth should have mutated when it came in contact with Tiberium, not having seen mutated bugs anywhere is kind of bizare as bugs can be found anywhere on the planet in Sahara, a huge metropolis like New York and even Antarctica. Although these mutated beings are too weak on their own they travel in huge flocks and they are powerful enough to cut through light armor and flesh. They technicaly fly high on the sky and cannot be attacked by non-AA units.

I like the idea of the swarm so maybe 2 types. A ground type and an air type. sorta like buzzer swarms. The floaters would probably need a reveres repair code or something like that I cant remember the reason that was given or the mod that gave it.

2 ideas, (so far)
Tiberium stalker, (name changeable I was uncreative)
Lore, Tiberieum stalkers are man sized creatures that appear to be innocent and harmless until they are aggravated (coming near them, looking at them, excreta). They then seem to morph there head in to a plasma cannon which is quit nasty. They appear to of evolved from cuttlefish and have since made the transition to land. It would look similar to this Moddb.com only with a central body and more tentacles.
idea 2 the more controversial one
Tiberium Hunchback
Lore, There is something out there in the tiberium mutated forests of central Africa. GDI and Nod troops often find that items left out in the open seem to be stolen. Locals of the region speak of the "Forest men" that lurk in the trees. They are the Tiberium Hunchbacks, mutated gorillas that have finally made the transition to basic sentience. They are a secretive people who have only made contact with some of the more mutated tribes of the forgotten. They make a living of the tiberieanised forests knowing what to eat and what to avoid. They manage to acquire technology from GDI and Nod in limited amounts but for the most part shun the technological lives they see the other inhabitants of earth. During the Scrin invasion they reached out to several forgotten tribes and led them to safe havens in caves where they could find safety from the warring factions above. this help bring them in to the world but they shifted the story to convince the various factions that they were just extremely mutated humans and nothing more.
Note.
1. I know this idea will fail
2. The items they stole were various clothing pieces, weapons and ammo, food and watter supplies.

They would look like more upright gorillas with scraps of clothing and some human weapons. maybe bits of tiberium scattered on there bodies (back elbows and such). They would have right above there hands a tiberium acid cannon for defense/offence

Altough I find the first idea a bit too much, I like the idea of mutated ape-like creatures.

I think the Floater can be added, using the Buzzers' attack code, giving away Tiberium radiation by default and attacking all units (unlike in TS, where they only attack vehicles and buildings that way) with their electric tentacles.

The Veinhole is unlikely to be done but I thought of a possible way (despite the fact I don't know anything about coding). Making the Veinhole act like a Tiberium field would be good, with the "mouth" being the "Tiberium Tree" and tentacle parts acting as crystals, coming out of the ground. Its tentacles could act like Tiberium crystal radiation, but this time taking effect only on vehicles and moving all the time (model-wise, like in The Forgotten mod). Also the "center" could have an area of normal Tiberium radiation and emitting gases (model-wise) out of its mouth.

you like the idea of another intelligent life form on the planet cool :O. I expected the second to get bashed about the head and then dunked in acid.

About the floater and the vein hole monster, both are possible. The only thing that's impossible is to have the vein hole grow like it did in TS or harvest it to fuel the chemical missile. As for the tiberium gas, well you can just fool the engine that the floater and the vein hole is spawning an unselectable unit that look like a gas and damage everything close to it. But question is, can this "unit" move at random rather then going straight to target? Thought I might be wrong about 1 or 2 things..

Aside that I'm open for new tiberium wildlife. hell why not tiberium zombies? Like this one Cnc-source.com

Tiberieum Titan/Maximums/Army Annihilator (pick one)

lore,

Another creature from the red zoned of Africa the Tiberieum Titan is heavily mutated elephant. Besides other mutations the Tiberieum Titan has grown to the size of a con yard. It has 4 rending claws easily as 2/3s as long as a mammoth mk3. It has tiberium misters/sprayers up front to so when it attacks a target up front it emits the mist which envelops the area in front of it and lingers a bit (heals tiberieum life much like a corruptor) It has several large tiberieum shard launchers on its back which it uses to down aircraft. It also has seems to shed skin plates which then morph in to viceroides. Its hide deflects most light and medium weapons with ease. The Tiberieum Titan is much like the elephant a herd animal and as such are fond in groups of 2-5 animals. Over time they will occasionally spawn a smaller Tiberieum Titans which goes through several growth stages before they are as tough as there parents.

It looks like an ultraist from star craft 2 with several adjustments. The first is a lower head/torso region that is more one with the rest of its body. The next is leg placement, the legs are a bit of to the side and bent like a crocodiles legs do to the side. It has jagged raises of flesh on its back which are encased in tiberieum. these are the tiberieum launchers (they have the range of normal aa defenses but much greater damage and rate of fire. The next appearance item is its chest/front torso, on it there is boils that spew the tiberieum mist in front of it in about a 120 degree ark on front of it and the mist goes out at about the maximum range of the black hand. The back will look like it has tiberieum slime (green and blue) and crystals on its back.

BTW this thing eats Mk2 and assault mother ships for breakfasts and armies for desert

Replied at that topic.

Now I would mind seeing a giant tiberium wildlife only found at redzone areas but don't you think your tiberium titan suggestion is way off? the fact that it "eats Mk2 and assault mother ships for breakfasts and armies for desert " and having a lot of weapons and abilities makes it sound much more then just an epic unit. Would be useful as an SP stuff thought..

It is a nasty critter. I have come up with ways to balance it somewhat. One way is its speed and lack of long range ground weapons (the mist only fires when it is using its claws) this means if you used reverse move you would be able to outmaneuver it. due to its slow speed and not to mention hit and run. It also has low sight (eyes and sensors were not kept like in other tib mutations) But give it half a chance it will shred armies. To balance it out also all players would have vision on it.

Come on people generate ideas!!!

PS. On the tib titan should be some reward for killing it... well access to the area its in might be good enough but... 3 blue tib would be the min that I would go up against it for

yeah that is basicly what i was thinking or maybe it could even be the only place to find another color of tiberium such as yellow, red, or maybe something like orange (ok that last one was a little crazy).

GoldenArbiter

im not sure that it would be possible for it to become a new tiberium spawn area...

however, it could be a source of the more rare tib colours, as suggested...

idea idea idea...

i am not being very creative tonight so work with it...

some kinda creature(s) like: lion, chettah, panther, bear, cougar... could have all of them (maybe like a squad)
have them as mutated creatures. they could roam the open ranges and venture into cities when they need food, feeding off the helpless civialians.

sry i did not give ya much to work with but i am kinda lazy tonight...
