All the better to fool the American when they invade Iran on trump up charges...

On a side note, the arrangement of the road wheels are slightly different...

@(2142)Gen.Reaper Actually the Z-3 is a little Smaller than Abrams although the Iranians claims that in can match the Abrams. Won't be surprised if it dose though, they had spend a decade of R&D to built it.

@MarkPoe I honestly doubt that can US can actually mount an successful invasion. Attacking from Iraq is a bad choice as that part is heavily fortified and as for sea well, I don't think even the mighty USN can survive a real-life "Macross missile massacre" if you know what I mean.

How dare you speak of opinions that are different from Foxnews?!

Yea, I do agree that the US hyped up their military a bit too much sometimes...

Your opinion is most interesting on the whole Iranian thing rkraptor, of course I am no sympathizer of 'Murica and haven't agreed or condoned anything they have done for awhile now. However I really don't think much of the Iranians (not the people themselves of course) either and their current stability of government is rather concerning, especially now that they most certainly possess WMDs. (I actually did a research paper on their entire nuclear program since the 1950s, quite astonishing what Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi managed to accomplish for his country.)

I do find it a little amusing that you put so much faith in their current military hardware, when in reality they are still quite a way behind. I don't know much about their indigenous technology but I do know that you can advance only so far in so short a time. The majority of their hardware is old Russian gear slightly modified here and there(I know, Russian = Reliable). But as much as it may pain you, as it pains me, I'm afraid the US is still leader in general military stuff and the truth is that Iran would need nothing short of a miracle to beat off a US attack. I'm sure the 'Muricans will certainly sustain casualties from an offensive, but they'll probably roll over them eventually. Simply because the have the tools, not the brains, just the tools.

So there you go, my honest opinion. I'm sure this will get buried and dismissed as foolish gibberish from another brainwashed Westerner, but hey, It's anyone's right to disagree.

Look, first of all, I didn't say the Iran is invincible, sure US will likely active a military victory over Iran if they attack, but the sheer causality they will surfer will cost the already weaken economy to shatter and withdraw there troops since they can't fund the war anymore, thus making the entire invasion a total failure.

As for there equipment, well they are actually made form a mix of east and west(The Z series is basically a evolution of the M-40 Patton in most cases)they are not high-tech or top of the line(I never said they are and the Abrams is a quite old design)but they offers decent performance and available in virtually infinite numbers since they made them themselves. Not to mention Iran has more experience in fighting an conventional warfare in a scenario where they are outmatched thus they have the "Brain" advantage with them.

As for WMD well you know Iran's having Nukes is a subject of debate and not proven. And what's wrong if they have nukes? Israel too "supposedly" has them (Don't debate about this, too many fact and confessions supports this), it will bring some stability to mid-east. The Iranian regime in not filled with madman's(Iran would never advance this far in such short time if they were), they are not going to use nukes even if(Must say it's big IF) they have them.

Just throwing in my two cents.

Yeah and Germany totally wouldn't had advanced like they did in WWII with madmen in charge... Oh wait.

And yes rkraptor come off as very pro-irani putting a lot of faith into their hardware, just for what reason I wonder? And No I don't think it can match an Abrams because the ammies are haxing with DU armour and DU penetrators and the biggest military engineering corps out there. And logic says Iran or most any country just can't compete with that. Yet.

Yep, I have to agree, the Abrams is a very outdated tank compared to it's nearest equivalents. I guess that's what happens when you depend so heavily on your mighty air force and long range strike capabilities (ugh I'm actually sick of how much they use that term "capability").
The Israelis have an estimated undeclared 400 nukes. I also wrote a response to a Time magazine article that was vouching for Iran bringing stability to the Middle East if they managed to possess nuclear weapons(for a school paper).
Depends on what you perceive as madmen. There are a lot of good people in the Iranian political system, also quite a few over-zealous ones as well (public speeches about the Little shaitan and Big shaitan).
As for the nuke debacle I can honestly tell you now that there is around a 99.9% chance of Iranian WMD possession. I'm certainly not saying this is a reason for invasion. At all. The facts are there, you just have to dig a little.

Anyway *offers hand* good talk, we'll say how it plays out eventually I guess.

Iran has an UN arms embargo. Officially, they are not allowed to sell weapons to anyone. Although there are over 50 nation that simply couldn't care less. And last time I checked, the Z-3 is not available for export.
