This group is for everyone who like tanks, sci-fi tanks, real tanks, funny tanks, you can put here tank mods, tank maps, simply everything with straps, armor and gun :D
But it also took a otherwise useful tank out of action. The Wurfrahmen 40 launchers the Germans used were more effective, being a similar idea but mounting the rockets on armored vehicles that were not so critical to normal combat.
Yes, but it couldn't be used effectively as both a tank and an artillery platform simultaneously. Positioning it as an artillery battery meant it would not see combat on the front line, where the tank could have been useful.
Sure it could don't use it in a battery. Mix it in with the rest of the Shermans and if someone needs arty fire launch a barrage and then continue with normal sherman duties.
yeah, it's more of a "So you krauts are camping that village with panzershrecks, fine then we'll blast you to pieces" type of weapon so you don't have to wait for the artillery but just fires, and the tank batalion can continue forward over the poor village.
That was generally how it was used, however while it was okay at suppressing troops in towns and other large targets, it was too inaccurate to be effective against specific strong points such as pillboxs.
Moreover, it could not effectively operate as a normal tank with it's massive profile and what was basically several hundred pounds of explosives sitting unprotected on its roof.
A katyusha is more awsome than a Sherman in every way.
1. A katyusha is an artillary unit that has more powerful and accurate rockets than this crap.
2. The Katyusha was more mobile than the sherman.
Similar to an mrl just its in an sherman, note the side of the tank is its weakness and use to have stars on it making it a painted target for enemies(thats until the comanders found out and covered it up)
Calliope fireing...
Why not put that and others in the description! :D
It seems a bit sober up there! :|
A useless unit (at least in Blitzkrieg-2-game) the Russians where experts in rocket artillery!
Useless my ***. It's a katyusha with more rockets and the ability to defend itself.

this tank was was capable of firing it's gun...
