Description
The not-so-glorious T64.
The T-64 was a technological marvel at its time, a lot of new tech appeared for the first time on the T-64. It was also a well needed change from the lackluster T-62, and ageing T-55.
A beautiful tank, now left to rust. Maybe they should have converted it into a fire fighting tank.
This tank was the backbone of Warsaw Pact elite armoured division until the T-80 came in decent numbers and it was never exported to other countries.
After the end of cold war almost 4000 rested in service with both RF and Ukraine armed forces.
I dont know if some of the newest models are still used or kept as reserve tanks.
BTW that's the fate of surplus heavy machinery when a "war" ends...
Most of them are kept in reserve.
Tank retirement home...
If they sell one and its street legal I gonna get one and drive the road like a boss!
