It's not much bigger than Tiger, or other tanks, so where does it take so much weight? Just by gun and armor?

remeber if you scale something up two times it weights 8 times as much, you only need to make it 1.2 times bigger (at all directions) to give it the double weight, and the Maus is more then 1.2 times bigger then King Tiger in most ways you can compare those two. The point is that the whole volume of the tank is more then the double of a KT, and hence that the mass is to is nothing strange.

ww2 tanks would only dream of taking this super heavy head on sad it was so heavy and impractical and allied air superiority would not of made things any better for it.

I read the Reds actualy found a punch of finished turrets in some forrest that were dumped a pitty there wasnt any actual fighting except for those rumours
