I'm really sorry but this picture is better suited for the artillery lovers group.

But still a pretty nice picture.

yes but since almost no one knows that the artillery lovers gropu exists and since it is OK to post Tds here I dont see why we cant put SPGs hre (as long as they have treads, if they have whells or are standard arty gun than yes arty lovers group for them)

so if the ISU-152 could blast the turret of a Tiger with its HE shells, shouldn't the hummel been the same?

yeah, but the 152 was designed as more of a direct fire offensive weapon. Thus there were more cases of it.

so the ISU-152 did not like hit the Tiger and all **** exploded and the turret flew off due to internal explosion but the HE shell reveled the turret of its gears and stuff since the turret was meant to be hold to place by gravity itself?

TL/DR the arty shell dispositioned the turret though other then that the tank was pretty unharmed? Because I can't imagine a 40 kg HE shell blowing up heavy armour.

OR you shouldn t compoare artillery with tank destroyers, cause the isus blast riped the tigers turret off while the hummel would pierce the upper armor of the tank resolting in much much bigger dmg and destruction (ya know if the would hit the darn tank, unlikely)

Well, the Germans actually developed advanced High Explosive Armor Piercing (HEAT) and High Explosive Discarding Sabot shells for the 150mm sFH 18 gun. For example, the Gr.39 and Spr.Gr 42 which could penetrate 190mm / 220mm of armor at 2km distance. (Compare this to the Russian 152mm APBC shell for the ISU-152 which could penetrate only 85mm of armor at 2km distance).

Because the Russians did not have advanced types of HEAT rounds for their guns that time, so they just made bigger guns with a powerful blast effect to rip off the turret of a Tiger instead LoLs. And it worked out quite well on a few occasions.

This was made on a combined panzer 3 and 4 chassis and it is my favorite German SPG.
