This group is for everyone who like tanks, sci-fi tanks, real tanks, funny tanks, you can put here tank mods, tank maps, simply everything with straps, armor and gun :D
This photos are not provocations. They are proof that everything can be destroyed.
Indestructible my foot.
The sign says: "The knight sports and body building club"
maybe someone punched it to death
hope there cooked:P
destroyed by their own tank crews.
Yeah right, you was there and you saw that?
Funny thing about fanboys and arrogant yanks... when someone post photo of fried Abrams, they screamed "Destroyed by own crew" or "Destroyed by friendly fire"...
Yeah, right...
Looking at the damage to the tank such as noticeable destruction to the tracks and the appearance of holes in the road.
Leads to possible conclusion that it was disabled by an IED on some remote or pressure trigger explosive.
But then again who knows except for the tank crew and those who were there as you said Mitkovich.
Actually, melted wheels and tracks can't be proof of that.
Most of modern tanks have wheels made out of aluminum and he melts easily.
That cause colapse of whole hull and tracks too.
Well this can go on for a while but lets just stop it here.
We wouldn't really know what happened.
Except the fact that the tank is disabled.
Don't attack nationality, it's as near sighted as the person who posted started the topic.
The tanks turret is not in towing position so thus it was not destroyed by US forces who are more or less required to reverse the turret & lock the barrel in towing position b4 destroying the tank. This tank was killed by enemy AT no doubt.
Given the amount of damage they probably disable the tracks via a thermite IED then proceeded to hit the tank with every thing they had from RPGs & AT missiles to Molotov's Crew most likely survived seeing as the hatches are intact & haven't been forced open. :/
You have said on multiple occasions now but i find it hard to believe that a tank crew in the middle of combat would worry about reversing the turret and locking the barrel. I am sure they are supposed to but doubt that it happens in every occasion.
No modern tank has gone against modern tank such as t-90 vs m1 so no one will no who's got the best tank. so lets just all admire the photo and stop trying to act like we know what happened. we can all play the my country is better than yours and all get mad and argue or we can all enjoy talking and looking at pictures of tanks
Maybe the crew intentionally drove over an IED and then they watched as their tank goes up in flame and probably got a week off. you never know how some people think
LIES! No tanks can be destroyed! gtfo you darn tank hater/anti-tank lover or whatever you call yourself! TRAITOR!!
I am the tank gunner you brainiack.
Tanks can't be destroyed? Yeah, sure... we all can love tanks as much as we can, but fighting in the "iron horse" have it's own risks.
There is no such thing as an invincible Tank , Both the Merkava , and the Abrams Know that. Even from an Old anti-Tank weapon like the RPG7 , at the Right spots of course.
all it takes do destroy something like this is hitting it at the right spot with an RPG and it's dead. it's a shame that the abrams are destroyed by IEDs and old AT weapons. and one thing is the thoughtless people didn't give much attention to the engine compartment protection. that's where everything ends for the abrams, hit the engine, hit the end of it's life.
Not just engine compartment. His ammo storage is pretty wounerable.
Loader must open storage door to pick up round and load the gun.. and if in that moment RPG or any AT weapon hit storage, it will cause catastrophic explosion and kill crew. Blow-out panels works only when "door" who separates crew compartment and ammo, is closed.
