It used the same round and had very similar performance to the M3 75mm that was used with the Sherman. However, as late war Shermans mostly used the 76mm M1 they had an edge in AP performance.
I wonder when and how the Chinese got their hands on it? Did any of the NATO forces deploy Cromwells during the Korean War? Did the Soviet Union get any on Lend-Lease? Or parhaps the British gave some to one of the Chinese factions along with the variety of equipment they got during and after WW2.

The cromwell was lost in their fall back! I think!(8th king's royal irish hussard)No Chinese never receive Cromwell!AND No NATO forces but UN forces!
