Description
CHR2 tanks get ambushed by insurgents with RPGs in the famous encounter within the urban area.
One CHR2 was hit directly by fourteen rocket propelled grenades from close range and a MILAN anti-tank missile without any serious damage. It was back in operation six hours later after repairs.

Yea and aparently it got owned by tandem warheads in the front... I like the tank, but if rpg can punch through, then it's not good.

I'm sorry, but that is a painting of the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment moving through a town on the way to Basra in 2003. I know this because I saw my colonel present copies of this painting to no less than 5 mayors of various towns we marched through in the last 6 months when we came back from Herrick 13.
And for the record, the only CR2 to ever be destroyed in combat was when one from the Queens Royal Lancers was shot at with the main armament of ANOTHER CR2 in the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The HESH round went in through the commanders hatch and blew up the tank from the inside. The QRL tank was in the wrong area and the CR2 commander wrongly identified it as an enemy target. The only injuries from IEDs and RPGs in a CR2 have been acouple of lost toes from an RPG and a lost limb when Steve Shine's CR2 ran over an IED and the drivers drain blug in the drivers cab blew up and out and took his leg off.

What is your point? Of course this is the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment (Cyclops Squadron) that was ambushed in the town "Az Zubayr" which is near Basra. This drawing just shows the figh. So what exactly are you trying to disprove?
And we know that not a single CHR2 was ever "destroyed" by enemy fire. we never claimed otherwise. However we only discussed about that one CHR2 that was penetrated through the lower front armor in al-Amarah. That's all.
So once gain, I don't see your point. What are you trying to dispriove here? The CHR2 probably has got the most successful combat history of any other modern MBTs so far.
