Ehm, no. PS4 didnt won yet. Before Sony can claim victory, the market have to decide which one will be popular and only after that we have a winner. After all, the Xbone has a much better Kinect system as far as I got from the text and might have the better software which could balance out the handicaps. That is if MS still insists on a connection all 24h. If they drop that idea, the PS4 might be in a deep **** of trouble or so.
But, those NextGens are disappointing to me. All they can do is something my PC could do already and much more. Only my hardware is a decent bit weaker, but I planned to increase the RAM to 8 or 16 GB in the near future to have more resources I can use for my modding project.
Because these NextGen are not friendly to users, but to companies. From PC applications look at Steam. It was pretty much a boom when that idea came out. It has it's advantages, but games are expensive, you can't have anything cracked and you can't borrow your CD to friend.
I hate the steam DRM (I hate every single form of DRM) which is why i use gog.com :)
PS4's system is more powerful than the Xbox. So even if you lift the policies, your evaluation is still not valid sans the Halo exclusives which is just a milked franchise. The kinect is the only thing you bring up? Really?
This is not about PCs. This is about consoles. I do not know why you are bring up PCs in a console debate, they are in a completely different league.
Yea, it has won and Sony are now on YouTube taking the **** out of M$.
And anymore comments about PC being better will be deleted. This is not about PCs this about the competition between the consoles. Hence the name "console wars" There is no war between PC and the consoles because there is no competition. Consoles have a different prerogative. I do not want to sound like a **** but I don't give a toss about your overclocked CPUs or amazing RAMs etc on this thread. Put it somewhere else.
I for one will get both a good gaming PC and a PS4 so I can experience the best of both worlds.
lol karma troll me if you want, @Medusa your pathetic. I am telling you the truth that consoles are not in the same league as PC, they are completely different and you go on with your childish raging and crying. Whilst I agree PC is better WHICH IT SO OBVIOUSLY IS. No one needs clarification on that. I am not deleting your comments for that, I am deleting them for your irrationality and uptightness. Some people want to experience both worlds of gaming, some can only afford consoles. Just because you are getting the most powerful PC metal crap does not mean everyone and everything else is a piece a dirt. This is a comparison between the two consoles. If you cannot comprehend that I suggest you go somewhere and cry in a corner.
I have not karma trolled you. I havent thrown around with karma at all in here since I am not a console gamer and basically this war of the consoles goes around my *** - and I read you comment afterwards so I accept that you deleted my arguments for the PC.
Besides +1 so you are back to normal again. Satisfied?
I am glad we came to a resolution.
Not really. I hate to be accused of something I havent done.
apologies for the misunderstanding. Hmm then who was it (looks at everyone suspiciously)
PS4 8GB GDDR5 >8GB DDR3 XBOX1
PS4 1.8Tflops> XBOX1 1.2Tflops
Kinect is generally hated, its always on and collects info the government can use, there are restrictions on games that are borrowed and pre owned games due to account registration and they were talking about using kinect to block the use of games if it detected multiple people in the room. Yep, Sony simply needs to advertise with 'Playstation 4; not the Xbox one' and they'll snatch a whole generation, take a few off for the Nintendo supporters.
As far as i'm concerned, with the way they marketed the Xbox One. It's like a low powered computer. Ie. it can play games, you can watch TV, etc, etc. Even in the way you need to be online to do anything (only certain PC games are like this and you can still play offline usually).
If i wanted a gaming console then i'd just buy a PS4, it's not even a contest at this point. Xbox One is garbage, bad concepts, bad execution, bad hardware. Also the kinect is always online watching you, kinda creepy. It's been labeled as a security risk by the German and Australian governments (and maybe more , i haven't checked)
Also i'm a PC gamer (i assume everyone here primarily is as well) but i've always prefered playstation to xbox. At least with the PS3 and 360 both sides had an argument. Now it's clear-cut who is better and Sony is not afraid of mocking M$ for their greedy choices.
...WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT A CONSOLE IS?
The console is a cheaper alternative to the PC which is built for gaming and can now also perform various other tasks such as internet browsing, video streaming, watching broadband TV, listening to music and watching movies. Meanwhile it requires little in the way of management as all updates are automatic. You pay a single price for a piece of hardware that lasts for more than several years.
Which is why for me it has the advantage over the PC which only has professional software for work that keeps it being used. For internet browsing and video streaming I can easily use my Sony Xperia Z, 360, Tablet or laptop. Gaming on PC requires you to purchase new graphical cards every one to two years to play new releases on their full graphical power and for me the DRM of PC games, the installation and the more manual updating isn't worth the hassle just for a little tiny bit of better graphical quality.
When it comes to old RPG classics though and bigger library of games then the PC gets my attention but new games releases are better played on console for which most are now developed for.
Nevermind the fact that new computers are shipping with a very crap dumbed down - smartphone inspired - interface operating system which shouldn't even be on a non-touch computer.

Since Windows 7 most of my stuff runs automatically. I have a GF GTX 550 Ti and I can play all games on higher quality then every console of the current generation and even some NextGen. So it doesnt require a new GraCa to play new games. On ultar HD maybe, but if you can play Crysis 3 or BF3 in highest detailes, you shouldnt have a problem for the next 3-5 years.
Consoles are known for their much weaker performance compared to the PC. A new GraCa for 150 EUR and some more RAM and I can compete once again with the consoles. It doesnt take much to upgrade a system. Also, a PC is a nice multitasking media center. I can listen music while playing or modding for C&C3, the DRM is a minor problem that can be avoided and the prices for PC games are tiny compared to new console games.
It is true that PCs are for more advance users, but while you need a laptop or tablet next to your console, I can do all at once with a PC in a price class of a PS4 or XBone.
And heres a small advice: dont by a PC with a preinstalled OS. Its the most ****** mistake you can do. Buy a naked PC and install the OS yourself, it is much easier than a ready-to-go OS, not to mention that you can customized your drives in the process and you know what is on your hard drive to begin with. Also it became so easy to install an OS. When threw in the Win7 Pro disk, it was childs play.
yeah companies install a load of crudd on your computer prior to shipping as well
