The small people come first, since their shoulders have to carry the entire nation, not only in the US but in all parts of the world. The actions of a corperation or concern should be limited by law. For example: a 1.5 L bottle of water, thats what we in Germany mostly have, can not cost 1 EUR/USD, so that would be the max price. Just an example. Also corporations, concerns and lobbies should not be able to corrupt policy - neither indirectly nor directly - and they should not be able to promote a certain party with money or anything else. Its the peoples privilege to choose their government, not the corporations. Corporations, artifical persons in juridical language, should be treated equally as a natural person in trials, not with any special status.

Furhter more, civil infrastructure does not belong in the hands of private corporations. For example hospitals, data cables, police offices, schools and prison. All that is government property and should be that way to ensure the peoples freedom.

Sorry if my english is bad today, Im just tired. I hope its understandable, if not fee free to ask.

Regulate corporations and banks as heavily as Canadian banks are. They wouldn't magically suffocate as anyone who's been caught on the 'revolt against the government' hype train thinks and we would cease to have massive depressions in the economy due to greedy *****.

Monsanto, WB, EA all deserve to go under yet rules and regulations make even the worst criminal (morally) a saint:( what Monsanto does is worst than breaking into someone's house and stealing everything yet because they had convinced the government and courts to make their actions legal they are free to steal. WB is defiantly doing the wronging MERP by sending the C&D letter but again because of how most laws benefit corporations they can get away with it. And the amount of anti-consumerism EA attempts should certainly be illegal yet somehow we live in a DRM filled world and its alright to make prerendered game ads. Fortunately EA is willing to change just like Microsoft except Microsoft wants to become worst:) the kinect should never have become mandatory for privacy purposes, and online selling of games results in DRM which I still believe is VERY anticonsumer. Considering that DRM is more often a problem when I'm legally installing and using a game than when I pirate it. I hate not being able to install older disk based games because of pathetic DRM. Why can't all digital distribution be GOG.com? People ALWAYS figure out how to pirate a game so just give the consumer the best experience! On that note I can't wait to buy wild hunt. Another thing that corporations (this time ISPs) got away with was the government money that they got near they year 2000 so that they could upgrade the infrastructure from stoneage versions to modern fiber type speeds. They of course didn't do that and it should have been illegal to not use a grant for what it was intended. (Most of this is based on facts that other people told me, and sorry about any spelling/grammar issues, my iPhone really likes messing up what I write)

Regulation yes, but remember that we live in a capitalist society, and we can't scare American industry into China- that would end up killing us. We need cultural change before ANYTHING else will work. Our people are materialistic, violent, narcissistic, arrogant, and self-centered- I don't mean this as a direct insult to other Americans, but it should be a wake up call. A lot of our problems could be solved by a simple change of character.

Insulting us will only make us more defensive and increase these issues- we need to change from within. So my message to foreigners who constantly rip on us, give it a break- all you're doing is picking a scab. We will realize it sooner or later.

I agree with everything you just said. Modern America has become a society where greed and narcissism are becoming mainstream attitudes. I believe it's time for Americans to start focusing less on future profits, and start working more on solving their own inherent problems. So long as China keeps helping out by making it harder for Americans to get visas, that should work.

Unfortunately, that also means poor, non-corporation affiliated boys like me who happen to be American will get our sorry rears kicked out of China sooner or later. |-(

I disagree that corporation can be treated as an individual in the eyes of the law. Due to the fact that corporations can not die. If the corporation fail there will just be another corporation that comes along and purchases all rights and property including patients from the deceased corporation.

So, as frequently expressed across this group but more specifically on the last image, people greatly dislike corporations for their meddings in the capitalistic system and the government. My question is:

A. What should be done about corporations? (as in, should corporations be given full free reign, be strictly limited by the government, abolished entirely and taken over by the state, etc.)

B. How do we achieve what should be done?
