I have to say that the US president started off good, developing closer relationship with the Russia and other domestic developments. I dislike him for legalizing same sex marriage in the US as a federal standard. By this, he turned the US into a land of "legal perverts".
However, I have to mention that it's not him who stired up the trouble in Ukraine. The US goverment has many agencies that operate semi-independently. One of them is the NeoCon agency that recieves federal funding and carries on some responsibilities that were formerly assigned to CIA. The NeoCons have members that grew up in the anti-Soviet era and one of their objectives is to destroy Russia's ability to become powerfull again.
V. Putin knows this and his allies as well, that's why Asia & South America don't believe the US lies.
