Polytheism is the belief or worship in multiple deities usually assembled into a pantheon of gods and goddesses, along with their own religions and rituals. Polytheist.
Is a gigantic tree, thought to connect all the nine worlds of Norse cosmology. It is often suggested to be an ash tree, an interpretation generally accepted in the modern Scandinavian mind.
Nice additions by the former manager
I hope you don't mind, I found these and I just wanted to share them
Always welcome

Checked out and answered, thanks
You can join back here and have your position back as well if you want it
You are welcome
Have a nice day
Perhaps, there's needed a little more time for that imo. Will tell you. I've already joined, that's the first step
Thanks, you too
You can relax now , you are not going to be harmed by anything , so there is no reason for your trepidation
Welcome back and enjoy your position
I also hope you will get along with the 2 other boys that are managers now , Jon you already know him and with Night Hunter you can introduce yourselves whenever you both want it
This does not mean anything back regarding me however
You know what i mean
On this one i think it might be needed more time than little
See you
I also need more time for that, we understand each other on this
Same
Profitez de ma cruauté vous avez gagné de moi
Que voulez-vous dire ici en fait exactement avec cette? Je suis un peu confus maintenant
Excuse moi
Vous avez compris la première fois
Arrête de jouer monsieur Le Cloche (:
On topic about this , in the movie Thor ( one of them ) the tree is representing the Norse gods constellation and the way their home stars are positioned out there
It has to be like this in reality too
Yes, that's why I liked this find so much. Really interesting
Cool that
It seems you watched the movie too , i only watched one of them
If you are in need of talking you can always say things at my stuff like before
I've said something on the olympic games (uncool2) image of yours, incase you're intrested
I meant my profile too
Answered you there
The snake at the bottom is supposed to be Níðhöggr right? I'm kind of confused beacuse I thought that he was at Nilfheim, but since it is gnawing Yggdrasill's root I'm sure that's him. And also it is oftenly described as a dragon but also as a snake sometimes.
Interesting remark, you are right its Níðhöggr. I honestly first tougt it was Jǫrmungandr but he would be on Midgard ofcourse. And this snake is indeed gnawing at Yggdrasill's root. And I also just readed about the 2 different appearances, you are right. And he's always gnawing at the roots
Well saw Pulga, it does reminds me of Age of Mythology, he is in the game as a dragon called Nighogg (just an other name)
Hahaha same here I thought it was Jörmungandr at first. Just remembered Níðhöggr because he is mentioned in Amon Amarth's Jomsviking song On a Sea Of Blood.
Ey... I think I need to check that song again, thanks hahah
That is amazing but you are both not nords haha but am glad you are good friends you two
Is there a similar Chilean mythology with the nordic Pulga ? I would be more interested in that instead
This would go for the Flemish one too but The_Cloche told me something about it already
Well there were many different beliefs each specific to every original town. But I think all of them or most of them are polytheistic mythologies all based around time cycles, and divide the world in realms. The most known one is the "Mapuche" mythology which is based around the cult to spirits and ancestors. The Cosmology is divided vertically in three realms, one above for good spirits, one in the middle for humans, and one in the bottom for evil spirits. There is also a deep appreciation for nature since there are no temples (constructions) for cult, and a river in the middle of a forest is a perfect "temple" in that case. The objective of the humans in the world is to take care and preserve nature while they wait for spirits to come to our world or realm. But there is little known about these cultures since the way of transmission was through the spoken word, and they were mainly fighting people (they're said to be the only ones who could resist the Spanish "Conquista" and remained undefeated). Also the christianization deformed a lot of these beliefs.
In another hand I find a deep interest in the Norse gods and mythology and I appreciate nature. I may not be nord but it is what i believe in (I have Italian and German offspring, so maybe I'm Kinda European at the very least). If you played Skyrim to the very end you may have fought against "The Ebony Warrior" (if not this might be a spoiler alert, but I suggest you to read it because it pictures my condition perfectly), he wanted to battle you so he could die and go to Sovngarde (Skyrim equivalent to Asgard/Valhalla) but he was a Red Guard ( another race), but it was what he believed in. I don't remember if he got the chance to go there. The thing is that I rejected Catholic religion cause I didn't find peace with it, and with Norse mythology I found something that was meaningful for me and that I could appreciate, of course I'm not a Viking or whatever, but I find peace with it and I'm not joking around with it. As you say maybe I'll never go to Asgard or Valhalla but just as The Ebony Warrior I decide to stay true to what matters to me. You made me all sad but it's okay I guess there will be some place for me when I die.
PD: I speak French :D
Ah yes , i have another friend Hoop_Thrower that is from Chile too and he shared some stuff about the Mapuche , they are your ancestors , the native peoples of Chile , the difference is that he is not a spiritual man and did not share much about religion as i remember
It seems Mapuche spirituality is revolving around nature , i always liked religions based on nature
A temple like that would surely be a sight to see (:
Unfortunately the colonials did destroy much of tradition and other things , with them i never agreed either
My origins are Slavic , Icelandic and my first ancestors were the Vinca that i was amazed to discover them
I was always from Europe but my ancestors first arrived from the stars
Yup ! I believe that fully and that is where my goal stands to leave this world for the stars in their search
I played Skyrim but not to the end , i always went for side quests and progressed little in the main quest and then i installed new lands and went even farther from the main quest
Spoiler indeed but i don't mind it , i won't get back in Skyrim anytime soon and until then i will forget it completely haha
Maybe you are a nord at heart . What you are at heart matters too indeed . There are nords that do not feel like nords and are attracted to other beliefs as well
Why made you sad ? Please don't be so delicate . I was just pointing out facts just like i done at the Metal group :P Facts should not harm us
Being a nord is about being strong and facing all adversity with courage no matter the odds
There is life after death for everyone
I only speak french with The_Cloche sometimes , i don't speak it fluently
I will definitely search more about Mapuche mythology and such because i also asked this with my project in mind
I have both Mapuche and Chile as planned civs and i will need mythology , religion aside from history about them
Glad to see you show interest in all of these cultures. And don't worry my spirit is not broken and I plan to fight for what I believe and what I want to do in life. As always a pleasure to talk with you and the people in the group.
Take care :D
Feel free to think yourself part of the group too not just dropping by
Even if we don't see eye to eye and our beliefs differ , we do have a friend in common here
You too
Then you don't mind me posting some pictures about some cool stuff? I kind of wanted to share some that I thought were interesting.
Not only would not mind but i actually recommend and ask for it
I wanted the group to be active since the beginning
Anything you want just not right after new stuff is uploaded , say at least half a day or a day distance since the last stuff was uploaded so we can let people check them all out
