For all the old skool modders that have stuck by Mod DB from v1 to v4. A lot has changed as over the years as the site moved from a dark v1 to a bright and rounded v2, to the classic v3 and now the all mighty v4! To join this group you must have joined the Mod DB in 2002 or be a KNOWN long time hardcore user!
ShockRealm arose to fill the void left, when the ChaosRealm.com domain name was lost forever. Continuing the 'Realm' tradition, this is one site that is still in existence today, though control has since been handed over to HuntEr. The intention of this site from the start, was to have it as the Realm home, comprising of network news, statistics, information and the like. However due to the various mis-fortunes of the Realm such as Playnet demise, until recently it has not really served a place on the web. This is all changing with the talented HuntEr taking over the Realm. Since doing so, he has resurrected the damn brilliant Realm designs by howling, and revived / created new Realm sites namely ActionRealm, TheIRCRealm with more to follow. Backed by Mod DB and myself despite not running anything Realm related, this set of sites remains one of my proudest achievements considering it all begun as a hobby and a little challenge, and continues to grow today with many followers, affiliates and hosted sites all depending on a small Realm fix every now and then... The current ShockRealm site as seen to the left can be visited today, and hopefully in the future will truly serve the purpose it was intended for, and that is the backing of one massive Realm Network!! Until then one can only dream...
