Perhaps it is too simple to compare it in such a manner but to me there is at least some similarity, which concerns me greatly.
Humans are still tribal, desperate and have primitive reasoning and motivation for all they do, which, in turn, contrasts greatly with their potential. No known species has achieved what we have. Yet, for all our greatness, we are set back by our very nature, something that we have always tried to fight back and have embraced in this twisted modern age. As a species and as a civilization, we should follow the example set by hystory and attempt to control our unlawful fears and desires for the benefit of our entire society.
