Um... where's the humor?
(besides the implication that women apparently can't swim or something like that)
Human stupidity can be quite entertaining, don't you think?
I mean women can shed a tear when broken hearted, men get temper issues. Were you in this predicament would you save the vile ex or your true beloved?
I think the joke lies in the sentence "Wu waded into the river and pulled out his girlfriend;"
If he's wading, then the water is only 2-4 feet deep and his ex girlfriend is just splashing around like an idiot.
Butt den dey shud of dieded?!
Maybe it's in the fact that the two women probably jumped into the water with their cell phones on their pockets...
Or, taking into consideration what Garyn Dakari said, not only was the ex just splashing around like an idiot in shallow water, she needed to be rescued by emergency workers.

Man I'm so dense and slow these days... maybe that's just me getting old, but not necessarily getting any of that wisdom that comes with age.
