A valid point indeed.
Though knowing corporations, they may even rename "Piracy" to "Ninjutsu" or even "Bear Wrestling". And expect that discourages people from downloading stuff. Somehow.
Awesome Job!? I beg to differ. You can't find any treasure maps, the boat has old buoys on the broadsides to keep it afloat, and if you manage to take a small amount of cargo from the ship you raided, they'll send a few destroyers, couple frigates, one cruiser and maybe a carrier after you're tug boat of a skiff. This job isn't awesome, it's better than awesome, in fact, "awesome" is an understatement for the job.
May be boring as hell but a small price to pay in my opinion ... that would apply to any sailing job really ... of course after it was discovered how to avoid scurvy
Some people in some places, it did not become common knowledge until that one guy made a huge deal out of the link between scurvy and the lack vit-c in the diet of sailors.
It sure isn't as fun as it looks to be in Pirates of the Caribbean, that's for sure. More like you're the pirate extra who gets killed about two seconds after appearing on screen.

Ha, swab a few decks then tell me how awesome being a pirate is!

People have known how to avoid scurvy for centuries...
