Last night I dreamed I was Qui-Gonn Jin (Liam Neeson) from Star Wars sent to investigate a string of murders. The most recent victim was someone very close to me. In all instances the victims had been savagely torn and slashed. Can't remember how I gained the evidence, but I soon found myself going out to the woods where I found a wooden shack. Out back was a cage, except t was bloody, and open. And after investigating the supposedly abandoned property I discovered a torture chamber, with the walls caked in blood and a single chair in the centre with shackles for hands and feet.
Turned out the killer was a werewolf permanently locked in his transformed state that escaped from that cage. The owner of the property had been feeding him random travellers and would have continued to had he not been consumed himself.
I still remember the thick grey mattered fur and the grizzled bars of the cage.
I woke up twice during it (rare to have the same dream through two cycles of sleep), and when I went to get out of bed I was scarred of seeing bared teeth through the dark.
Far out it was scary.
So, yeah, even at 16 I do what the GIF does at times.
Anyone else have a dream/nightmare with comparable scares?
Dude I dont even remember my dreams. If I even dream at all. But when I dream. I dream of running from CHUD. 24.media.tumblr.com
And you think you have bad dreams ????????
IS THERE ANYONE WHO REMEMBER CHUD ????? 'couse of thuse dudes I was **** scared going araund the Sewer Entrences as a kid. And sure it didnt get better even when reaching adulthood. You would never get me there without a weapon you can bet your *** on that.
once dreamed that i was being tormented by a psychotic serial killer who was invincible and could teleport at will. the worst part was he would show up at the most random points in my dream, which terrified me. also if i was indoors the lights would always flicker and die. at the end i was cornered and he just charged at me with a knife.
i woke up covered in sweat. i could feel the fear when i woke up as well
The scariest dreams i had were me being chased by a terminator and me being chased by vampire hunters and getting my head cut off in the end(i was the vampire) :P
Continuing the Star Wars theme (Qui-Gonn Jin, okay, pretty thin I know) I did have a continuing dream during one cycle of sleep that entailed an Imperial invasion of my neighbourhood (probably more like planet), complete with suburb stomping AT-ATs and AT-STs, I remember running from tree line to tree line around my town, and being amazed at how fast the AT-ATs were moving. It ended when one of the walkers turned its head in my direction and I knew I was done for. It wasn't so much as scary as it was awe inspiring. I remember waking up and thinking about how amazing it was that my mind had conjured all the Imp hardware to scale.
I think the most bizarre thing was that I hadn't played, read, watched, thought, anything remotely Star Wars in a long time.
I DO have positive dreams, though, and I keep a dream journal (in hopes of achieving a lucid dream), but we're on the subject of nightmares, so...
Another one I've had is one where I'm motionless. I'm sitting in a park bench facing a tall waterfall in the centre of a forested park. A stage coach has just dropped me off.
On the opposite side of the fountain is a giant crocodile, quite well camouflaged in its grey skin so that it blends in with the grey pavement and stonework.
I speak, and no matter what I say, even if it IS the truth, it is deemed a lie. And little by little, with each true lie I tell, the crocodile moves closer until it is right in front of me.
Does it eat me?
No.
It bites my limbs of one by one, joint by joint - each lie I tell it bites, and my conscious self feels a blunt pain in the corresponding area. And the dream repeats infinitely until I wake up, not scared, but shaken.
It's been a long time since I've had that dream (sometimes I've had the same dream or nightmare years apart), but it's one of the first I can remember accurately.
Scariest dreams I have are ones that shape up from the events that have happened in my own life, the kind where waking up doesn't really seem to help at times.
I was bored once so I dreamt up a mirror and in the mirror was your average spooky white-dress, black hair girl. Now I forced myself in the dream to stare at the mirror.
Big mistake as I soon discovered I no longer had control over my own damn dream and found myself being chased by that girl. Lucid nightmares man.

I rarely dream. When I do, they make absolutely no sense. Even if they make, I always forget my dreams not long after waking up.
I only remember 2 dreams I ever had. They happened when I was a kid and they were very short. (That's probably the only reason I remember them)
Edit: I also remember very little from another one I had a little while ago, but only the very basic of it.

So... Freddy Krueger?
