Canada does have an equivalent to a Secret Service it is just good enough to be pretty much secret not all countries are like the USA which lets everyone know the secret agencies it has and what each one does in theory.
Ever heard of SIS? It is Portugal's equivalent to a secret agency and we had more before, only when the government announced the end of SIED (it joined SIS instead of being independent) did we discover that there was a secret agency called SIED (i think it means Serviço de Informação Estratégica de Defesa or Service for Strategic Defensive Information or something simillar). SIS means Serviços de Informação Secreta or Service for Secret Information.
Same with New Zealand. We have our own intelligence agency in the form of the SIS (Secret Intelligence Service), however, being a member of the Five Eyes means they probably have little to do with acting in the interests of our country and more to do with being Big Brother's little helper. (I could use a stronger term, but I won't)
Shhhh! It's supposed to be a "SECRET" service! Now you've given it away!
If Canada had a Secret Service I would be as surprised as I was when I discovered that Brazil has an Intelligence Agency.

Yeah, it makes sense for countries to have an Intelligence Agency, but the concept of some countries having one is kinda weird. xD
