CS:GO isnt really CS anymore. ok, maybe its good as free2play game (this is how the game feel) but it doesnt fit in the counter-strike series with its current state.
1. no more player model selection
2. molotov cocktail (i mean come on, this is not insurgency)
3. the new buy menu
4. all the new weapons (i mean ok, but they should add the old weapons into the game)
5. it require less skill than older counter-strike titles
6. the standart maps arent exactly like the original one, many changes are made
- many more reasons
look at css, valve tried to keep the game as much as original as they can, and they did very good but cs:go isnt a counter strike anymore, its a complete new game which shouldnt be called counter strike and it feels like a free2play game
Yess
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I love CS 1.6 more than GO.
I don't really play CS:GO that much nowdays and not a huge fan of it, but Christ, all those statements are wrong and sound extremely fanboy'ish. Here we go then. You may hate me, but deep inside you will agree with me.
What? How?

You sure? Think again.
What features exactly?
Seriously? How much have you played it? Have you ever played competitive mode? Have you played team based combat? I tried a lot of F2P shooters ( and i regret it ) like Crossfire, Warface, few russian shooers, and damn, all they play the same, this is nothing like it at all.
As for the looks - it looks very decent for a competitive shooter, it's also nicely optimized for that matter.
What? How? They don't sell weapons, they don't sell any kind of currency, all they have is just custom skins and weapons which are tracking kills, that's all, and they are totally optional with random free drops.
Now let's look at your statements.
Yeah, that kinda rough, but hey, Valve initially planned it as competetive shooter, so they made player models easier to distinguish from map surroundings. But hey, some maps/game modes have diffirent models, so that not all that bad.
Why not?
What's wrong? You still can use numbers to get through it.
So it's like "They added more weapons, it sucks! They should add more!" Right?
What's the point in remaking maps if everyone already played them? It's not an HD remake it's own new game. And maps look pretty good too, they do look like original ones too, no clue what are you talking about.
All in all, guys, CS:GO is competitive shooter, it's designed like it, it plays like it, Valve planned to make it like this. Just deal with it. You still can play CS 1.6, CS:Source, nobody will steal them away from you, they STILL have HUGE fanbase, just play those games instead. CS:GO aimed at diffirent type of gameplay. If CS 1.6, CS:S is just a fun game, CS:GO position itself as serious game, but yeah, Gungame and deathmatch are still tons of fun. Honesly, this rant is really old and it reminds me the time when CS:S was released, nothing changed.
I agree with you. I thought about posting a comment like this, but then I thought "Why bother?". But I'm glad someone else did it, it's good to see other people that don't shut up when there are people bashing something without giving good arguments.
Just to add up:
I remember a lot of people saying that they didn't like CS:S because it wasn't like CS 1.6...
I think CS:GO is a good game, the only reason I don't play it more (or competitive) is because 3/4 of the players are always using a sniper (mainly the one-shot-kill that is the AWP (which people think requires more skill than weapons that you need to control recoil)).
But I still go back to it from time to time, because, removing the huge amount of goddamn AWPers, I like the game, and sometimes there are a lot of fun people playing casual.
Early this month, there was a lobby full of funny people, I laughed a lot. Those matches make me wish I recorded my gameplay, just so I can save them.
I am pretty agree with you, many mistakes are inside. And however Counter-Strike: Source really keeps the good old factions, weapons, and maps with great graphic. But however I still think, 1.6 and Condition Zero is more better.

Everyone from 5 years of playing one CS always thinks the new CS is bad, then change their mind, and then when another comes out say the new one is bad again. My only gripe is the lack of model selection, but the rest I like. For instance I like the fact that you get staggered when wearing vests. Makes sense to me, always hated how pro players get insta kill headshots even after getting shot first.
