Doesn't anyone else find it funny that Delta Squad, an elite commando team, was sent to Devaron for the sole purpose of bringing back a few dead bodies?
Well they were close to the system and who knows what danger it could be there? After all 2 jedi and a bunch of clones was killed of.
But they probably only used them to include delta squad who knows maybe they already back then had planed for the Delta Squad episode that's coming this season?
Commando Squads are used for recon missions in enemy territory. It makes perfect sense that after a clone unit and two jedi are so quickly overun when they had reported that the system was holding out against attack the republic would send in commandos for recon. The mission was probably not to recover the jedi but if bodies are found in any war zone recover is usually preferred if possible.
