Note: the oreginal black hand logo has a cuple of this tails with the stars on the side

on cnc generals early concept, chinese (or khan exacly) was supposed to be nod predecessor. that's why chinese object uses N (nod) instead C (china, not civilian) or K (khan), like "NVDragon.W3D"
maybe after ex-westwood team failed to propose this concept (that generals is TD prequel and RA1 sequel), they are trying to explain everything in renegade 2. (note this only my speculations)
Well that makes sense , after all the Brotherhood of Nod was stationed (Or perhaps The Majority) in CCCP during the GWW2.
