Those Nod symbols signify kills. This tank has destroyed 5 Nod vehicles, probably.
well they should have just placed the logos on the cannons..

Actually, those are missile loaders and underneath, there's smoke grenades or munitions.

I thought it is because CINE_Mammoth has more poly (if I remenber it is approx. 27k) and this might be it :P
thins thing might have more polys than just 27k.. maybe some 50k? i mean, look at the detail!

Yes this was the model for cinematics only. Way too many polys. You'll also notice that the text is backwards on the left side because we only filmed it from the right and I was too lazy to make another texture set for the left.
