I had the feeling the designer played too much warhammer in TW already but this. Wasn't RA going wacky? Do they have to go wacky with Tiberium now too.
Ion cannons are like... everywhere. Where did Tom Clancy's Endwar rip it from? Also imho the beamy killsat thingy from 40k seems pretty ion-cannony to me too.
But this really abit to much of a Baneblade lol. But still as long as the 40k guys don't mind its cool xD
Nikola Tesla Star wars program. He was as far as I know first with around 1900? He already thought of satellites in space with lasers. The laser satellite is commonly used, Final Fantasy movie to name another one. That got nothing to do with ripping, they are just based on the same idea.
Ok. Inspired from. Still, this is just the Baneblade. It isn't as blatant as Blizzard turning WH Fantasy/40K into their own games. Playing the ShoutOut trope doesn't hurt right?
But the Recon Bike is obviously straight out of Akira. There is no denying :P
couldn't it have been a tribute by one of the devs who liked akira? I encounter such tributes sometimes when playing games.
And yes it looks very warhammer stylish, which is wrong since c&c used to be a serious modern warfare game and is now drifting into fantasy and sillyness. Also I despise how they make the mutants become orkish. obviously they didn't kick out the people which were responsible for c&c4.
I always thought that The Forgotten have always been orkish, same for the GLA. Or maybe I'm just a Mad Max fan ^_^lll
Modern warfare? CnC is more near-future cyberpunk if you look carefully. Heck, those tons of Tiberian Dawn concept arts reek of cyberpunk goodness. Nod is an obvious example. The Tiberian saga has always been the serious side, while the Red Alert saga starting RA2 is the over-the-top light hearted side.
But c'mon! Mammoth Tank vs Baneblade. "House size mass of f&%k you!" vs "Eleven (ok six) barrels of hell!". This game is the only chance to see that happening ingame :D WhatDoYouMeanItsNotAwesome? trope played straight. Its not that Alliances is canon anyways. We just want Generals 2.
"GOVERNOR VANCE STEALING MAH BANEBLADES" >:O
Can't people just make there own things? Anyway, 40k is amazing otherwise. But mixed with C&C... hmmm i'll pass...
Ready to unleash eleven barrels of hell - Forgotten style!
I know it has only six barrels from this picture, but it could have more...
YOU CAN NEVAR HAV ENUFF DAKKA!!
You need moar of it. No exceptions.

Definitely not a 'Tiberium' unit. The ONLY game where I have seen tanks like this is Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War.
Could have been 'copied and pasted' from DoW lol
Before I saw the bottom I thought "cool a Baneblade inspired model on a C&C mod" but then I saw the C&C TA logo and I was like what the **** ?
Baneblade is better - it has 11 barrels <P
...rite
Well it didn't stop WW from blatantly ripping off the Recon Bike and Ion Cannon straight out of Akira... Trololo
Who's the heretics now, Nod?! >:)

So the Baneblade did have six barrels of hell :O
Seems like EA ran out of creativity again,oh wait when did they have it ?
I consider this the best thing that could have happened ever.
