Well, in Tiberian Sun, the .ini file called SUN in the TS folder, has settings:

ScreenWidth=1440
ScreenHeight=900
StretchMovies=no
Normally it's 800 x 600 or smaller, but I use the 1440 x 900 since my display has that resolution, and many things can be seen
If you have a large resolution it really sucks to play such a low res xD

ahh, good old cnc tiberian sun. haven't played this yet but it sounds interesting.
