These screenshots, are from the first media release in April 2000. First spread by magazines and advertisements, these were more publicized by the internet, a growing media for Westwood Studios at the time. They were originally found on Westwoodstudios.com.
Notable differences between these and the next set made available are the longer shadows, the more vibrant colors, and the cartoony explosions. Also different is the more TS-esque snow, with softer details and a more realistic appearance. However, the softness might be a result of JPEG compression, however, being universal across all screenshots this is doubtful.
This one is my favorite. Terrific explosion and missile trails.

Yes, I remember seeing this once in a gaming magazine, back in 2000ish. Brings back memories.
