When Disney sold the rights to make Star Wars Games to Electronic Arts, the question on everyone's mind was "will they make battlefront 3?". Apparently for a few weeks, EA has been gloating about battlefront 3 giving reason to believe that the long Awaited Battle Front 3 is around the corner.
Of course new information is still developing and EA has not definitively "confirmed" that they're going to develop/continue devolving BF3 but speculation from reputable sources predict that they will.

I have a feeling Battlefront 3 will be nothing more than a Battlefield Skin mixed with overpriced DLC that should've been in the game to begin with. Also DICE won't release an SDK for us to make mods because they're ***** who don't want their engine out their. They say they don't want to make an SDK so it isn't reverse engineered, but the real reason is because if their games has an active modding community, then they can't pump out new games year after year and make profits that match the year before. Any mods that are made (even texture and lighting) will be banned and anyone using them will have their account banned. Sure it'll be fun (for a little bit), but it'll get stale quickly because DICE doesn't know how to make quality games anymore since their new motto is "make as many games and sequels as possible because we suck EA's ****." Sorry for the rant, but I'm really apprehensive about EA owning rights to Starwars games. While the LucasArts didn't make any high quality games in the last few years, I fear that future starwars games will be decent, but modding and making awesome addons that we, the gamers think of and create will be non-existent. At least there is always StarWars Battle-Cry though. Moddb.com
What you would like to see in BF 3 ?
Availability on the PC, Epic Battle music...An interactive environment, the ability to use spacecraft to bombard a planet, ragdoll bodies.

i didn't really like that in elite squadron. you had to take a ship in the hangar, take of, wait for your game to load which took some time since i have that psp since the day it was released, then watch a cutscene, fly closer to the planet, wait for it to load again, watch another cutscene, land, take over the ion cannon, wait for it to charge, fire it a few times, get another ship, loading, cutscene, loading, cutscene, go to their reactor, destroy it, escape pod, loading , cutscene, wait, kill some people, end of game.
More realism, but keeping star wars spirit. That would be amazing. And of course: Realistic weapons ships vehicles new planets maps...
