i agree forcing people to do something is pointless. however children should be taught BOTH "it made itself" and "an intelligent being made it" then they should have the option of choosing whichever side has the least amount of problems with it. so far "it made itself" has lots of problems.
religion isnt the only thing that christains have "shoved" down childrens throats...
I just recommend that instead of either of those simply we teach kids "we don't know", because that's the truth.
or wait to exspose them to religion til they are mature and can think for themselves.
kinda like adults arnt suppose to have sex with children (its wrong), they have to wait til they become adults (which is still creepy but legal).
religion should be like that.
We could just say, we don't know but our guesses are.....and then we could explain how one is completely opposite of the other and how it's either one or the other (none of the in-between stuff) and how one can be supported by a historical document, but the other version claims that the document is not historically accurate. And how both accept the same FACTS but interpet the facts to fit their worldviews. We can also point out the problems that both sides see in the other.

That's very shortsighted imo- there are so many different ways of looking at things, so many different religions, so many different forms of irreligion, the possibilities as to what the actual answer is incomprehensibly vast.
There is nothing to choose from. Religion is not equal to science! Science stands above religions, in the realm of realitiy while religions are just fantasy within your mind. But sadly the world of us all is threatened by religious faith. I just wanted to mention 1000 years of dark age and 9/11. Results gathered through science in the hands of religions are like an unlocked gun in the hands of a 2 years old child...

Do you not see that this is your belief, and that while it may be the pinnacle of truth in your eyes, that it is not in ours? And that while you may see a great deal of proof for your beliefs, that we also see a great deal of proof for ours? And that while you may not see our proof as valid or accurate, that neither do we see your proof as such? And that the idea that: "We are right, we have undeniable proof that we are right, and all of these idiots who don't understand that are merely misguided, delusional fools that the world would be better off without" is the very foundation of warfare? If not, then I am glad that we are communicating through the internet, because if we were speaking in person (based on the comments I've been reading here lately), I am certain that blood would have been shed by now.
Please note that this is not directed specifically at DetoNato, nor at the atheists, but at everyone here who has been so aggressive and hostile with their comments and posts.
I know that we can be civil and constructive with our arguments - regardless of our different beliefs. And if I am wrong, and we can't, then we need to leave each other the Hell alone because none of this is going anywhere good.

It is regardless what I belief or not, what I said is a fact. Facts stand above beliefs, above mine and above yours. Claiming otherwise just confirms it even more.

No it isn't. I don't see or hear about believers running around trying to infringe upon the rights of non-believers in public all the time in my country. Its always the fundy/militant atheists like the Atheists of America group or the "Evangelical Atheist" that like to run around and stomp on everyone they don't like. They behave and have the same mentality as YOU as a matter of fact.

The people in the video above claim that atheists have no morals, would have an unhappy life (rather because they get mobbed from theists) and that the greatest mass murderer in history were atheists.
For spreading false information and serious discrimination like this you can get in jail in Germany, no matter if you would do that to beliefers or non-beliefers. In question of emancipation the USA seems to be almost at the level of Germany 150 years ago.
