On Russian language and few others like Serbian and such it's SSSR but rest of the world calls it USSR. Why you ask ??? Well because word "Savez" means "Union" so they just changed the first letter. About the religion status, no idea.

Description

In SSSR, about 90% of population were atheists. After SSSR collapsed people started getting back to religion. In 2000 there was about 85% of Russia believers. And now? Last news said that number of believers is growing, but I heard that new generation in Russia is non-religious. So can anyone tell me current religion situation in Russia?
